Gifts from Santa are often placed next to the Christmas tree, aren’t they? Here’s an introduction to a Christmas card inspired by such a tree, featuring a delightful interactive touch.

First, fold a piece of paper in half and cut a triangle out of one side.

Draw a tree beneath it and a star at the tip to create the shape of a Christmas tree.

On the inside of the other half, paste square pieces of origami paper or masking tape, add ribbon decorations, and design them as presents.

Add some final decorative details, and it’s complete.

When you open the card with the Christmas tree design, presents appear—what a fun Christmas card!

[Christmas Craft 🎄] Make Santa and Reindeer Handbells with Paper Cups!

Let’s make a handmade handbell using a paper cup! With a little creativity for the parts, you can make both Santa Claus and a reindeer.

First, paint the paper cup with acrylic paint.

Use red for Santa and brown for the reindeer.

Next, cut out the facial parts from construction paper.

For Santa’s nose, using a red round sticker looks cute.

Then, poke a hole in the bottom of the paper cup and thread some jute twine through it.

Tie a knot so it won’t slip out, and attach a small bell to the end of the twine.

On the opposite end, tie it into a loop to make a handle.

Finally, glue on the facial pieces you cut out and use a pen to add details.

Your handbell is complete, with a cheerful jingle!

Easy with paper cups! Talking Santa and reindeer puppets that open and close their mouths

Did you know you can make a chomping puppet-like toy using a paper cup? Turn it into your favorite character, like Santa Claus or a reindeer! First, make slits on both sides of the paper cup, cutting straight from the rim down to the bottom.

Open the cup along the slits to spread it apart.

Attach pink origami paper to the bottom to represent the inside of the mouth.

Then, use construction paper to create and glue on the character’s face and clothing to the upper and lower parts of the cup—and you’re done! You can move it to chomp with your hand, so it’s great for puppet shows, too.

When you think of Christmas, many children probably picture Santa Claus in his red outfit.

So let’s make a Santa using a paper plate.

First, paint the center of the paper plate with skin-colored paint.

Crumple up some washi paper, tear it into small pieces, and glue them onto the beard base.

A chimney Santa toy made from a milk carton

[Upcycled Craft] Handmade Milk Carton Chimney Santa Toy [Christmas]

Let’s make a cute toy where Santa Claus and a reindeer pop out of a chimney! You can use it for pretend play, too.

First, cut a milk carton to a length of 15 cm from the bottom.

Cut out the bottom piece.

Then wrap the carton with colored construction paper to look like a chimney and glue it in place.

Next, cut out parts for Santa Claus and the reindeer from construction paper.

Don’t forget the house parts that you’ll stick onto the milk carton.

Glue the house parts onto the carton, and attach Santa and the reindeer to the tips of straws to make little puppets.

Draw the facial expressions, the house’s window frames, and the chimney pattern, and you’re done! Move the straws and the puppets will pop out of the chimney.
