Childcare: Easter craft ideas. How to make bunnies & eggs (1–10)
Rabbit hat
This is a rabbit hat made from a paper plate, featuring adorably perky ears.
Cut out the center of the paper plate and attach ear pieces cut from construction paper.
Then just decorate freely with pens, crayons, stickers, and more.
Adjust the ears so they stand upright, and you’re done! It’s fun because it’s a full hat you wear over your head—not a headband or a mask.
By changing the ears, you can adapt it into various animals, making it a versatile idea you can use any time of year.
Bouncy Bunny

It’s a bouncy bunny you can catch and play with! Cut four slits in a paper cup and attach bunny ear pieces made by cutting paper and fixing them to the bottom area.
Draw the bunny’s face on the side of the cup.
Tie two rubber bands together in a figure-eight shape and slot them into the slits—prep complete.
Place another paper cup over the bunny toy you made, then let go, and it will pop up into the air.
Compete to see who can make it jump higher or who can catch it the most times! With just a few materials, you can easily make this handmade bunny and have lots of fun playing.
Easter egg maracas

Turn an Easter egg into a maraca that makes a pleasant rattling sound! Prepare two plastic bottle caps, put beads inside, and tape them together securely with vinyl tape.
Wrap the joined caps with newspaper, shape it into an egg, and fix it with tape.
Finally, cover the newspaper completely with aluminum foil colored with a permanent marker, secure it with tape, and decorate with stickers or origami to finish.
It’s fun to shake and play with, and it’s also great to use in an ensemble!
Rabbit eggs & handprint/footprint carrots
If you’re making a cute bunny egg, be sure to add its favorite carrots too! Make the carrots using children’s handprints and footprints.
Paint their hands and feet, stamp them onto construction paper, and once dry, cut around the prints.
Use the handprint as the carrot top and the footprint as the carrot, then combine them to complete it.
For the bunny egg, cut construction paper into an egg shape, draw patterns, and attach bunny ear pieces.
Let children decorate freely in ways that suit them—stickers, crayon drawings, or finger painting with paint.
Eggs made with wax-resist painting
Create colorful Easter eggs by drawing fun patterns with wax-resist art.
Place masking tape crisscrossed over an egg-shaped base, then draw patterns with crayons in the open spaces.
Paint over everything with watercolor, let it dry, and gently peel off the tape to reveal a unique egg! For an even cleaner finish, change colors in each section divided by the masking tape.
Add bunny ears or combine the eggs with photos of the kids, and display them in a wall-sized gallery.
Swaying Bunny
This is a super cute wobbly bunny that keeps swaying without falling over! Wrap construction paper around a toilet paper roll and cut it into three equal sections.
Draw the bunny’s face, attach ear parts made from construction paper, and fix a marble inside the roll—then it’s done! You can also make a roly-poly style craft using capsules and such, but with a toilet paper roll, it’s easy: just attach a marble inside the bunny the kids made.
Try arranging not only bunnies but also various animals and characters.
Easter garland
Let’s make a garland out of Easter eggs, an important motif of Easter, the festival celebrating Christ’s resurrection, and decorate your room with it.
It’s easy if you have pretty colored paper, pens, ribbons, yarn, or stickers.
Garlands can be hung on walls, windows, or from the ceiling, adding a colorful touch to your space.
First, cut the colored paper into egg shapes.
Paint the eggs however you like.
Once they’re done, attach them at regular intervals to a ribbon or yarn, and your garland is complete.
Why not create a cute, original Easter egg decoration with your own sense of style and brighten up your room?
