Super Easy Magic Tricks Kids Can Do! Fun Tricks You Can Play Right Away (61–70)
A jaw-dropping magic trick where a ring instantly links to a chain

Here’s a magic trick where a solid ring instantly penetrates a solid chain! You can use an ordinary ring and chain.
First, spread your index finger and thumb about 4 centimeters apart and hang the chain over them.
Next, hold the ring with your index finger and thumb, and support the ring with your middle finger as well.
Then place the chain inside the ring and lift upward.
Now, while pulling your thumb (the one holding the ring) toward you, let the ring drop…
and the chain and ring link together! It’s a classic, so once you master it, you’ll definitely get a wow!
Eraser that makes stars appear

No special preparation needed—here’s an eraser trick where a star appears.
All you need for this magic is a perfectly ordinary rectangular eraser.
Beforehand, draw a star on one of its faces.
Now you’re ready to begin.
First, show the eraser to your spectator, but with a deft twist of the wrist, make it look as if you’re showing both sides while actually showing only the same side.
Then simply flip the eraser over, and it will seem as though a star has suddenly appeared.
Of course, you can use a symbol other than a star if you like.
Balloon Skewer Magic

Here’s a simple magic trick you can do with a rubber balloon and a bamboo skewer—as long as you’ve got the nerve! You pierce the balloon with the skewer, yet for some reason it doesn’t pop.
The secret is that rubber balloons have slightly darker areas where the material is thicker, so piercing through those spots won’t burst the balloon.
Still, it’s a pretty thrilling trick—both the performer and the audience will be on edge, so it really gets the crowd going.
A banknote that’s been cut but not separated

Put a 1,000-yen bill into an envelope.
Then insert scissors from the top of the envelope and cut the envelope clean in half! When you pull out the bill… wait, it isn’t cut? A mysterious magic trick.
But the secret is simple: make a slit on the back of the envelope, right in the middle, beforehand.
After placing the 1,000-yen bill inside, here’s the trick.
Insert the scissors through that slit so they go in front of the bill, cutting only the envelope—not the bill—and then cut just the envelope.
The key is to insert and move the scissors smoothly.
Rope escape magic

If you want to amaze your friends with a simple trick, the Rope Escape Magic is perfect.
You only need two items: a string and a handkerchief.
Interlace your fingers tightly, tie both thumbs firmly with the string, and cover your hands with the handkerchief to hide them.
The key is to pull on the string with your thumbs while tying, leaving just a bit of slack.
It looks securely tied, but you can actually slip your hands out.
Fan your hands a little and say, “Whew, it’s a bit hot,” and you’ll start hearing, “Wait, did you get out?” along with murmurs and laughter.
It’s a trick anyone can master quickly—ideal for beginners.
Magic where sweets come out of a paper cup

This is a magic trick where you signal to a paper cup that seemed empty—even when turned upside down—and when you turn it over again, candy appears.
In fact, the paper cup has a slit, and when you first turn it over, you press on the slit to keep the candy from coming out.
Since the candy is inside from the start, when you first turn the cup over, present it as empty by tilting it at an angle that hides the contents.
Smooth hand movements that don’t reveal you’re operating the gimmick are also an important point.
Cotton swab appearance-disappearance magic

I’ll introduce a cotton swab appear-and-disappear magic trick where hand movements are key.
In this trick, a cotton swab appears and disappears from the hand, and even seems to move from right to left.
The secret is quite simple: you just tape the tip of the swab near your thumbnail.
However, depending on how you move your fingers, it looks like the swab is appearing and vanishing.
Since what the audience sees is crucial, practice in front of a mirror.
By the way, anything of a similar size can work instead of a cotton swab.
