An empty plastic bottle becomes like new
Many people enjoy flashy performances, right? One trick I’d love for you to try is magic that turns an empty plastic bottle into a brand-new one.
In this trick, you place an empty bottle into a paper bag, and it changes into a new bottle.
The secret is that you’ve already placed a new bottle inside the paper bag and swap them.
Also, prepare the empty bottle so it can shrink.
That way, you can later crush the paper bag to surprise your audience.
Put some thought into your performance when you present it, too.
The magic trick where a torn newspaper is restored
It’s a magic trick where you tear a newspaper to shreds, crumple it into a small bundle, cast a little spell, and then the supposedly torn newspaper is restored to its original, pristine state.
Paying close attention to the printed content makes it even more mysterious, since the text that should have been torn also appears fully restored.
The key lies in how you fold and hold the newspaper: you pre-fold an identical newspaper into a small package and secretly set it inside the newspaper that you will be tearing.
Then, when you tear the paper and gather it into a small bundle, you switch it with the hidden, intact newspaper.
If the torn pieces fall, the method can be easily exposed, so be very mindful of how you tear and gather the paper as you perform.
Magic where a straw passes through a paper cup
This is a penetration magic trick you can do with a paper cup and a straw! Press the straw firmly against the bottom and—mysteriously—the straw seems to pass right through the paper cup.
The secret is simple: it actually has a double bottom.
First, make a hole in the bottom of the main cup, then place another intact bottom on top of it (creating a second bottom).
When you pass the straw through, guide it through the hole in the main cup.
At the end, show the inside of the cup so people can confirm there’s no gimmick.
Be sure to use an opaque paper cup, and be careful not to let anyone look up from underneath, or the secret will be exposed.

A finger-escape magic trick using cat’s cradle makes a captivating act for kids.
You don’t need any special props, and because it uses a familiar game, it feels approachable.
If you practice while watching a video, anyone can learn it easily.
As you get the hang of it, you might even be able to put on a small show.
Give it a try and practice together with your child!
Penetration magic using a pencil and a 5-yen coin
This is a magic trick where you place a 5-yen coin over the mouth of a plastic bottle, put a tube on top, and with a little incantation make a pencil seem to pierce through.
Before fitting the tube, it’s important to clearly show that the pencil is thicker than the hole in the 5-yen coin and that it won’t just slip through.
The secret is very simple: when you drop the pencil from the top of the tube, the impact makes the 5-yen coin bounce upward, and the pencil falls straight down.
If the tube fits the 5-yen coin too snugly, the coin won’t move even with an impact, so another key point is to use a tube with enough clearance to allow the coin to rotate freely.
Lollipops rise up!
Let me show you a magic trick that makes use of the round shape of a Chupa Chups lollipop.
In this trick, when you send “power” to the lollipop resting on your hand, it stands up on its own! Mysterious, right? But the secret is simple: you just arch your palm.
The way it stands up changes depending on where you place the lollipop, so try to find the spot where it rises most naturally.
Also, gradually apply pressure with your hand so people don’t notice you’re arching it.
Anyone can do this trick—give it a try!

The pen vanishing magic, which has a big visual impact, is also a must-see.
