Message video from kindergarten graduates
It’s common to play a memory video, but how about taking it a step further and creating a movie that includes messages from the graduates? Have the children put their feelings—like gratitude toward their moms and dads and what’s on their minds—into messages, and pair them with lots of memorable photos.
The children’s growth and the fact that they’re graduating is moving enough on its own, but adding messages from the kids themselves makes it a surprise that will leave everyone amazed and in tears of joy.
A live performance gift for the principal
A comedy play and live performance by volunteer kindergarten parents.
To save the principal from the forces of evil, the children’s dads dress up as the “Ikemen Rangers” and compete in singing, and the winner chosen by the principal performs live in front of them.
With backup dancers and accompanists joining in, the graduation ceremony becomes a huge hit! The final reading of letters brings everyone to tears.
Children’s dance & musical instrument performance
How about having the children showcase the musical performances and dances they’ve been practicing at the graduation party? They could do a funny dance that gets everyone laughing, or perform a moving song together as a group.

Here’s a fun surprise idea: turn the certificate of completion given at the graduation ceremony into a giant panel and display it.
Try enlarging the certificate you receive during the ceremony to cover an entire wall.
If the certificate is in horizontal format, leave the name field blank so people can stand there and take photos! It’s a clever idea to have a life-sized version of yourself appear where the name would normally be.
The children will definitely be amazed by the oversized certificate.
