drum

Not long ago, it was common wisdom that drums were something you started in middle or high school, but lately more people have been choosing drums as an extracurricular activity for kids.
Children often have good motor skills and a strong sense of rhythm, so when it clicks, many of them improve rapidly as if they were playing a sport.
A parent–child performance might not be just a dream.
sax

The saxophone is an instrument that’s widely used in jazz and wind ensembles.
You also often see it accompanying singers on TV music shows.
In fact, among musical instruments, the saxophone is relatively easy to learn, making it perfect for a first musical experience.
Japanese taiko drum

The wadaiko (Japanese drum) is such an old instrument that it is said to have already been used as a means of communication in the Jomon period.
When you strike it with thick drumsticks, the vibrations resonate in your belly, and playing such an exciting drum together as a team naturally fosters a strong sense of unity.
Some community centers and similar places have their own teams, so why not look into it?

violin

The violin used to be considered a pastime for young ladies and gentlemen, but it seems more people have started taking it up recently than before.
As children grow, the instrument itself needs to be replaced a few times, but it appears there are rental and lease options as well.
The twins in the video are perfectly in sync, as you’d expect from twins.
Learning as siblings lets them play ensembles together, which looks like a lot of fun.
ukulele

There are small guitars made for children, but they still tend to be too big, and the string tension is too high.
A ukulele, on the other hand, is small by design, making it suitable for kids and highly recommended.
With the natural athleticism that children have, they could likely handle fast picking and crisp, sharp strumming with ease.
electric bass

Until a little while ago, the electric bass had a rather low-key image, but among today’s youth it’s gaining popularity as a cool, refined instrument.
I’ve even heard that in some light music clubs, the bass is more popular than other instruments.
Playing bass develops not only your sense of pitch but also your sense of rhythm, which makes it transferable to other instruments.
harmonica

Because a harmonica produces sound as soon as you blow into it, it’s one of the more accessible instruments for children.
While making any sound is easy, practice is required to play the specific notes you want.
Since you can work on the harmonica anywhere as long as you have the instrument itself, it’s also recommended for those who have had to give up music lessons due to their home’s structure or living situation.
Once you get good at it, you can perform it as a cool, atmospheric instrument.
It could become a lesson that children enjoy attending.
