Squirrel Cheek Silhouette Quiz

Here’s a squirrel cheek silhouette quiz that captivates children with a unique idea.
First, show the kids a sketchbook featuring a squirrel character.
On the first page, depict the squirrel looking hungry.
On the next page, show the squirrel’s cheeks puffed up, with the silhouette of food appearing inside.
Then take out paper cutouts of different foods and have the children guess what’s inside.
two-person robe (Nininbaori): a comedic act where two people share one kimono-like garment, with the rear person acting as the arms for the front person

It’s an old classic, but the “two-person haori” game always gets people excited no matter the era.
Two people wear a large haori together; the person in back sticks only their hands through and tries to feed the person in front.
It usually doesn’t go well—which is exactly what makes it hilarious and lively.
If you try it with piping hot oden or ramen, things can get out of hand fast (lol).
There are lots of variations—like making something or drawing—but makeup in particular is a guaranteed hit.
The kids will be rolling with laughter for sure!
Giant Fukuwarai

Fukuwarai is a classic New Year’s game that’s been around for ages.
In the past, retro faces like Otafuku and Hyottoko were the standard for fukuwarai, but these days there are all kinds, and it’s easy to make your own original version too.
The fun of everyone—kids and adults alike—bursting into laughter when the face doesn’t come together quite right is a big part of its charm.
How about making a giant version of fukuwarai to play? Bigger makes for a more impressive presentation, too (haha).
It’ll be a hit if you try it with characters kids love!
Card Theater

This is a game where you guess various things from colors and shapes.
Turn it into a quiz to get everyone excited and full of anticipation.
Prepare a round red card.
Ask, “What do you think this will transform into?” and draw out some answers from the children.
Then turn the card over and announce the answer: “It was an apple!” Be sure to draw the answer illustration on the back of the card in advance.
With a white round card, it could be a rabbit; with a yellow round card, a sunflower.
You can come up with lots of questions.
It’s also nice to give the card as a prize to the child who answers correctly.
In conclusion
Have you found any games or performances that the children are likely to enjoy for the party? They all sounded like things that would get the kids excited! If you tailor the content to their ages and developmental stages, everyone can have fun together, so I highly recommend it.
Incorporating popular games or characters that are trending among the children will make it even more exciting.
Be sure to choose and plan the games or performances that the kids will enjoy the most.
Preparing can be a lot of work, but don’t forget for the teachers to have fun too! Create a fun atmosphere and draw the children in.
I hope you have a wonderful time together with the kids!
