Kobukuro’s classic and popular songs
Let us introduce songs by the popular male folk duo, Kobukuro.
Renowned for their powerful vocals, the two create an exquisite harmony with their voices, delivering performances so impactful they overwhelm listeners.
Although they met and formed their duo in Osaka, an event they held until 2010 called Fan Festa took place in Wakayama, and—curiously—the headquarters of their agency, Minosuke Office Kobukuro, is also located in Wakayama.
This is because, during their indie days, they were supported by a patron who ran a game shop in Wakayama called Minosuke; that person is now the president of their current agency.
Now, please take your time and savor the supreme harmony of the two members of Kobukuro.

Kobukuro’s iconic and popular songs (11–20)
Just as that sun continues to illuminate this world.Kobukuro

Starting quietly with a slightly dark-feeling intro, the way the energy builds from there is very Kobukuro-like and makes it a really cool song.
The title also feels like a line from a novel—very modern and stylish, in my opinion.
A flower that blooms only hereKobukuro

You can feel the true weight of the term “masterpiece” in this song.
Although the two members of Kobukuro aren’t from Okinawa, I think it’s remarkable how, as the theme song for the Okinawa-themed drama Ruri no Shima, it truly captures the spirit of Okinawa.
It’s a superb performance that I hope will be passed down for many years.
Any skyKobukuro

The opening a cappella part makes you feel the bond between the two.
Throughout the song, the harmonies are beautiful, and the message that the skies will clear someday comes through clearly via their breathing.
It has such a powerful, gospel-like melody that you almost feel it doesn’t even need a band sound, and the fact that the two of them can complete a song like this on their own is exactly what makes Kobukuro “artists,” isn’t it? It’s a piece that’s perfect for closing things out.
BetelgeuseKobukuro

Betelgeuse is said to be 642 light-years away from Earth, which means that because its light takes time to reach us, even if Betelgeuse exploded and disappeared, we wouldn’t realize it until 642 years later.
But that also means we might still be able to see its light for 642 years after it has actually vanished.
MonochromeKobukuro

A song that, when I listen to it, reminds me of past loves and makes me feel a bit lonely.
It brings back the romance of those days and makes me think, “I was such a kid back then.” It’s a track that leaves me feeling very calm, as if tears might fall from somewhere.
Apple blossomKobukuro

We fell in love long-distance and couldn’t meet when we wanted to.
Why can’t you be nearby? I want to see you, I want to see you.
This is the first piece of music I ever gave her as a present.
Whenever we felt lonely, we would often listen to it together, cry, and distract ourselves from the sadness.

miracleKobukuro

It’s a song famous as the theme for the drama “DOCTORS 3: The Strongest Doctor.” The music video, with its intriguing visual effects and story development, makes it a compelling watch.
While the track has a driving sense of speed, its grand melodic progression is quintessential Kobukuro.
