Good ByeTakeuchi Yuito & $HORI WINBOY

Mr.
HOR1 WINBOY is extremely well known in Japan’s dance scene.
He has achieved a lot in world competitions, and recently he’s been active as an artist as well.
Good Bye is a collaborative work featuring him and singer-songwriter Yuito Takeuchi.
The song mixes two genres popular in Japan—ballad and hip-hop—and throughout, it’s crafted with sweet lyrics and melody.
It’s not the kind of ballad that leans heavily on dramatic dynamics; instead, the melody stays fairly uniform from start to finish, making it surprisingly easy to sing.
While the song sits in a slightly higher register, it doesn’t include any extremely high sections—just a sustained higher range.
So if you have solid pitch control, you should be able to sing it without much difficulty.
greenCHEHON

“Midori” by CHEHON, known as an anthem of herb-themed reggae.
At first it sounds like he’s whispering sweet words to a woman, but in fact it’s a song about a man who loves herb, set to a warm, gentle reggae melody.
Since it’s performed by a deejay, the vocal line is relatively easy, with a modest range.
The rhythm makes it easy to feel reggae’s characteristic off-beat on the 2 and 4 counts.
It’s also a well-known track, so be sure to check it out.
Re equation10-FEET

This is the 23rd single by the Japanese three-piece band 10-FEET, released in October 2023.
It was selected as the theme song for the drama “Fermat no Ryori” (Fermat’s Cooking).
I found the relatively broad-groove vocal track riding over the up-tempo backing track to be very comfortable and striking.
The vocal melody doesn’t use a particularly wide range, so I think it should be easy to sing for most men.
However, the most important point when singing this song is, above all, how well you can recreate the original song’s large, flowing groove of the phrases, and how skillfully—and fully—you can use the rests between phrases.
Be sure to listen carefully to the original and study how it uses “space in the vocals” before you try singing it.
Only One LifeGINTA

GINTA, a former member of Repezen Foxx.
Since leaving Repezen, he’s been active as an artist, and although his solo career has only been about two months so far, he’s already established his place.
Among GINTA’s tracks, the one I especially recommend is “Only One Life.” It’s like reflecting on his journey up to now, wrapped in a moving melody.
The vocal line is surprisingly simple, so even those who can’t hit high notes or hold long tones can sing it without any trouble.
ThundersMAYKIDZ

MAYKIDZ is a three-piece rock band with an impressive sound that mixes elements of emo, punk, pop rock, melodic hardcore, and alternative.
Their style is similar to WANIMA, and they’re characterized by having many upbeat, bright-sounding songs.
Among their tracks, the one I especially recommend for men as an easy song to sing is Thunders.
While the song leans toward energetic emo punk, the vocal lines are surprisingly restrained.
The range is relatively narrow as well, so even men who can’t sing very high notes can perform it with confidence.
Liberated zonePorunogurafiti

PornoGraffitti, the popular duo that continues to thrive at the forefront even today.
It’s pretty rare to see artists who keep going this long without changing their style, isn’t it? Their new song, “Kaihōku” (Free Zone), is a fresh release from PornoGraffitti.
True to their sound, it’s crafted into a crisp, refreshing alternative rock track.
The vocal line is surprisingly simple, and the range isn’t very wide, so I think it’s easy to sing even for those over 40 whose high notes are getting harder to hit.
thunderclapHikawa Kiyoshi

A digital-only single by Kiyoshi Hikawa, released in July 2022.
It was created as the ending theme for the popular game Nobunaga’s Ambition: Rebirth.
Incidentally, Mr.
Hikawa himself also appears in the game as a Sengoku warlord.
It’s a very powerful and heroic track.
In this song, Hikawa delivers a wonderfully strong and captivating vocal performance, but the melody itself is quite easy to sing.
So don’t be intimidated by his own rendition—please give it a try yourself.
Feel the weighty beat of the backing track and sing with strength!
