At karaoke with friends, there are probably many men who feel, “I’m actually not good at singing and I get nervous…” right? No one wants to go off pitch or miss the high notes and feel embarrassed.

The truth is, there are plenty of songs that anyone can sing comfortably, as well as classic tracks that get the whole room excited! This time, we’re introducing J-POP karaoke songs that even those who aren’t confident in their singing can perform with peace of mind.

We’ve selected many songs with simple melodies and rhythms that are easy to remember, so please use this as a reference!

Even karaoke beginners can relax! Easy-to-sing songs for men (391–400)

kaiju (giant monster)Sakanakushon

Regarding the opening theme of the TV anime “Chi.: On the Movements of the Earth,” which has been airing since October 2024, I heard the song’s production actually ran into difficulties and the full-length digital release was postponed to the following year.

Because of that, the track has continued to generate buzz even after its release.

One of my students, who’s pretty good with high notes, also sang this song! The vocal range of “Kaijū” is F#3–B4, so I think it’s a relatively easy song for men to sing if they can use their falsetto effectively.

For songs like “Kaijū” that start abruptly, you want to clearly imagine the pitch before you produce the sound.

However, the initial “na” consonant is a nasalized sound and is actually quite tricky to deliver! Try projecting your voice more forward than you think you need to.

The rhythm is intricate, so if you keep a tight groove and sing with small, steady pulses, you should be able to sing freely and comfortably.

It’s a really cool track, so aim for a perfect score!

Re equation10-FEET

10-FEET – Re-Equation (Theme song for the TBS Friday drama “Fermat’s Cooking”)
Re equation10-FEET

This is the 23rd single by the Japanese three-piece band 10-FEET, released in October 2023.

It was selected as the theme song for the drama “Fermat no Ryori” (Fermat’s Cooking).

I found the relatively broad-groove vocal track riding over the up-tempo backing track to be very comfortable and striking.

The vocal melody doesn’t use a particularly wide range, so I think it should be easy to sing for most men.

However, the most important point when singing this song is, above all, how well you can recreate the original song’s large, flowing groove of the phrases, and how skillfully—and fully—you can use the rests between phrases.

Be sure to listen carefully to the original and study how it uses “space in the vocals” before you try singing it.

Only One LifeGINTA

GINTA – Only One Life (Official Music Video)
Only One LifeGINTA

GINTA, a former member of Repezen Foxx.

Since leaving Repezen, he’s been active as an artist, and although his solo career has only been about two months so far, he’s already established his place.

Among GINTA’s tracks, the one I especially recommend is “Only One Life.” It’s like reflecting on his journey up to now, wrapped in a moving melody.

The vocal line is surprisingly simple, so even those who can’t hit high notes or hold long tones can sing it without any trouble.

ThundersMAYKIDZ

MAYKIDZ is a three-piece rock band with an impressive sound that mixes elements of emo, punk, pop rock, melodic hardcore, and alternative.

Their style is similar to WANIMA, and they’re characterized by having many upbeat, bright-sounding songs.

Among their tracks, the one I especially recommend for men as an easy song to sing is Thunders.

While the song leans toward energetic emo punk, the vocal lines are surprisingly restrained.

The range is relatively narrow as well, so even men who can’t sing very high notes can perform it with confidence.

PornoGraffitti, the popular duo that continues to thrive at the forefront even today.

It’s pretty rare to see artists who keep going this long without changing their style, isn’t it? Their new song, “Kaihōku” (Free Zone), is a fresh release from PornoGraffitti.

True to their sound, it’s crafted into a crisp, refreshing alternative rock track.

The vocal line is surprisingly simple, and the range isn’t very wide, so I think it’s easy to sing even for those over 40 whose high notes are getting harder to hit.

thunderclapHikawa Kiyoshi

A digital-only single by Kiyoshi Hikawa, released in July 2022.

It was created as the ending theme for the popular game Nobunaga’s Ambition: Rebirth.

Incidentally, Mr.

Hikawa himself also appears in the game as a Sengoku warlord.

It’s a very powerful and heroic track.

In this song, Hikawa delivers a wonderfully strong and captivating vocal performance, but the melody itself is quite easy to sing.

So don’t be intimidated by his own rendition—please give it a try yourself.

Feel the weighty beat of the backing track and sing with strength!

Blue SpringRADWIMPS

Radwimps – Aoi Haru (Blue Spring)
Blue SpringRADWIMPS

A perfect friendship song for going to karaoke with your buddies is Aoi Haru.

It’s a track from RADWIMPS’s memorable first album, RADWIMPS.

It’s a refreshing, rock-tinged piece whose lyrics depict deep bonds and affection among friends.

Singing this one is sure to set a warm, relaxed mood.

Note that the first half of the song starts in English, so be aware of that.

That said, the English parts are relatively few, so even those who aren’t confident in English should be able to sing it well.
