Our ShadowsMUCC

This is a song included on the 12th single released in 2006.
It’s about a couple breaking up and the lingering attachment that remains.
The intense vocals seem to convey the strength of that lingering feeling.
If someone confessed such lingering feelings to you, it would make you reconsider breaking up, wouldn’t it?
A Painful LetterMUCC

MUCC’s “Itai Tegami” is a classic stalker song that gives you chills from the very first moment.
There aren’t any explicitly scary words in the lyrics, but that’s exactly what makes it frightening—the fear creeps up on you.
The dark melody line amplifies that unease.
You can feel the emotion of “because I love you,” but its one-sided, overly straightforward intensity comes off as madness—a quintessential stalker song.

The real 㒒 that 㒒, unable to endure the true 㒒, createdMUCC

There are plenty of people who keep hiding themselves and never speak their true feelings, but these lyrics aren’t that simple.
They portray something stranger: being unable to endure the fabricated persona they’ve maintained, they go on to create yet another self.
I get the sense that many artistic types are like this, but in the end, it’s all still you.
