Even though they’re scary, you just can’t help wanting to look… Ghosts are such mysterious beings, aren’t they?

They’re all super cute, so even children who scare easily will be totally fine!

They might even end up thinking, “Ghosts? No big deal!”

Give them a try and have fun making them during the summer, the test-of-courage season, or around Halloween!

They’re also perfect for craft time at daycare or kindergarten!

Ghost Candy Bag

Ghost Candy Bag: Easy to make with a paper cup! It’s a handmade candy bag for holding treats. As a bonus, we’ll also introduce a jack-o’-lantern! Halloween craft!
Ghost Candy Bag

Here’s an introduction to making a “Ghost Candy Bag” from a paper cup.

Cut off the rim of the paper cup with scissors and mark it into 16 sections.

Once marked, draw lines from each mark down to the bottom.

Since accurately marking and drawing straight lines can be difficult for children, please have an adult help.

After you’ve made slits along the lines with scissors, fold each strip one by one clockwise and tuck it into the gap on the left.

Finally, attach a handle made from the cut-off rim and stick on a ghost face made from construction paper to finish.

Adding a ribbon to the handle or decorating it might make it even nicer!

Ghost Treasure Hunt

[Easy Craft] Enjoy HALLOWEEN with a Ghost Treasure Hunt♪
Ghost Treasure Hunt

This is a ghost treasure hunt game that’s perfect for a Halloween party! Make 5–6 ghosts using paper cups and decorate them with faces and mouths.

Since the game works like a simple board game, prepare two playing pieces and an easy grid board.

Then, to match the number of ghosts, prepare a roughly half-and-half mix of treasures and duds.

For duds, a piece of paper with “Miss” or an X mark is fine.

For treasures, prepare papers with shiny stickers or drawings of treasure.

It’s a two-player game: after deciding who goes first, the second player randomly hides the treasures and duds inside the ghosts to set up the game.

The first player chooses ghosts until they get a dud; each time they find a treasure, they move forward one space.

When they hit a dud, players switch turns.

Try making and playing it together with friends or family!

ghost lantern

For a Halloween craft, how about a “ghost lantern” that can also be used as a bag? You can make it with a balloon, construction paper, pipe cleaners, and liquid glue.

First, tear the construction paper into pieces that aren’t too small, and use liquid glue to stick them on until the balloon is covered.

Once the paper dries, use scissors to pop the balloon and remove it.

Clean up the opening at the top with scissors, and add ghost eyes and a mouth to the side—now the lantern part is complete.

Put a light inside and enjoy.

If you want to use it as a bag, punch holes on both sides of the lantern and thread pipe cleaners through to make handles.

It helps to reinforce the back side of the hole areas with extra construction paper.

Gobble-Gobble Ghost

You can easily make a cute ghost with a gaping mouth using just a single sheet of paper! Fold the paper in half vertically and cut a slit where the mouth will be.

Put diagonal creases on the lower cut section, fold it inward, and open it up to create an adorable beak-like mouth.

Cut the overall paper into a ghost shape, then add parts like a hat.

If you want a mischievous, playful ghost, stick a little tongue peeking out at the mouth.

It’s a craft idea you can adapt into animals and enjoy all year round.

pop-up ghost

It’s a fun craft that gives you a little scare as various ghosts pop out of a box.

Cut a milk carton into long, thin strips and draw different ghosts, then paste the drawings on.

Next, use rubber bands to create a mechanism that makes them spring out—boing! After that, make the box that will hold the ghosts using construction paper in your favorite color.

Shape it like a small candy box, and design the opening with a catch so it stays closed until you release the ghosts.

Finally, place the milk-carton ghosts inside the box, and you’re done! When you open the box, the ghosts burst out with more force than you’d expect.

Try surprising your friends and family!

Ghost Paper Fan

Paper ghost fans are perfect as wall decorations, too.

Prepare two sheets of paper in your favorite color and fold each one into an accordion.

Then combine the two pieces, secure the ends of the folds together with clips or glue, and tie the center with thin thread or fishing line.

Once tied, open it up; when it forms a circle, secure the ends together again with a clip, and you’re done! After that, use another piece of paper to create decorations like the ghost’s eyes and mouth however you like, and stick them on.

Since you won’t need scissors except when making the decorations, even small children can work on this safely!

A long-tailed ghost

How to Make a Halloween Ghost [with audio commentary]. It’s super quick and easy to make, so it’s a paper-cutting craft suitable for children.
A long-tailed ghost

Let’s make a ghost with a slightly spooky, gently swaying long tail! Believe it or not, you can make it with just one sheet of paper! First, sketch the ghost on the paper.

For the long tail, draw a spiral circle like a snail’s shell.

For the face, add the ghost’s eyes and mouth.

Then simply cut along your sketch with scissors! When you unfold the cut paper, a springy, stretched-out tail will appear.

Try hanging it from the ceiling or wall like a mobile!
