A wonderfully fragrant aroma candle.

There’s also an easy method where you melt the wax and let it solidify.

On long autumn nights, watching the gentle glow of the candle and enjoying the lovely scent naturally soothes the mind.

Since you can make it with your favorite fragrance, I hope you’ll try making one by hand too.

Chewing gum is all around you.

By chewing, you can create rhythmic movement and give your body a pleasant stimulus.

The goal is to keep chewing for 30 minutes.

Your jaw might get tired, but it’s said to have a significant impact on concentration and relaxation.

You can get a sense of its effects by noticing how many athletes chew gum.

Body stretching

When you do desk work, your body tends to get stiff as a board.

And when your body stiffens up, your mind often does too.

If that sounds like you, some stretching will do you good.

Gently lengthening your body feels great and helps you relax.

There are lots of stretches you can do while seated or right at your workplace, so give them a try!

raise one’s voice

raise one’s voice

When something bad happens or there’s something you just can’t tolerate, anyone would feel like screaming, right? In those moments, I recommend yelling into water—either in the bath or into a bucket filled with water.

Even things you don’t want others to hear, like insults or loud shouts, are fine if you do them underwater.

It takes a bit of preparation and getting used to the feeling, but give it a try!

Plants that exist in nature and heal us.

Placing plants in a room allows you to be surrounded by greenery and is said to have a relaxing effect.

Even if you can’t keep them indoors, consciously spending time in green spaces and incorporating them into your life will help you relax both mentally and physically.

deep breath

deep breath

Breathing is something we usually do without thinking.

After exhaling completely, inhale within a set amount of time.

Just doing this is said to reduce stress.

The key points are to inhale through your nose and to include a pause.

You can exhale either through your nose or mouth.

Deep breathing is also being adopted in high-stress workplaces.

It’s easy to do anywhere, so if you’ve been struggling with stress lately, give it a try.
