Hikari MamaShakariki Hikari

Common mom-and-son moments—Hikari from Shakariki, playing “Hikari Mama,” hilariously recreates the everyday scenes that make you nod in recognition.
Hikari Mama is a totally typical mom who plays in a moms’ volleyball league.
She’ll keep saying, “Mom’s having a drink!” as a way to signal that all the housework is done and she’s off duty.
She says she’s going to lose weight, yet snatches the snacks her son is eating right in front of him…
Doesn’t your mom say and do these relatable things too? Let’s comically recreate those everyday moments!
Peekaboo gagPeekaboo-san

It’s the well-known Hyokkori-han, recognizable by his mushroom haircut, black-rimmed glasses, and red bow tie.
From the opening pose with “It’s Hyokkori-han!! Today…” to the “Hai, Hyokkori-han!” catchphrase, trying to mimic even the way he speaks as part of the impression will really get everyone excited.
Angel and Demon

I think the setup of an angel and a devil battling inside someone’s mind is a classic, even in manzai and sketch comedy.
This gag uses that universally known premise and looks like a short sketch.
When the person encounters a certain situation, an angel and a devil appear—but they offer advice that has nothing to do with the situation.
To make it work with a rapid-fire rhythm, it helps to use a clear setup like finding a wallet and keep the misguided advice short.
Distinguishing the three roles—the person, the angel, and the devil—through distinct voices and facial expressions is also important.
Mojimoji-kun

The comedy duo Tunnels had a segment called Mojimoji-kun on their variety show “Tunnels no Minasan no Okage desu.” It was a popular corner where two people in full-body tights formed letters.
Since making letters might be difficult, how about doing a gag in the same kind of costume and speaking style as Mojimoji-kun instead? Full-body tights are easy to get from online shops or variety stores.
If you get embarrassed, it won’t be funny—so go all out!
GagrobicsAkira Shinomiya

Here’s Shinomiya from Ojin Osbourne with his highly addictive rhythm bit.
It’s just a simple parody using nothing but his elbow, but once it gets into the rhythm, the addictiveness shoots through the roof.
And the surprise of finding a cute fox between his elbow and knee really gets you.
The “All right!” at the end of each mini-bit is both cool and funny.
Since it’s a routine anyone can do, it might be fun to add more small gags and give it a try.
It’s one of the highly recommended bits for parties and performances.
ventriloquism

This is an explanation of ventriloquism where the voice comes late, one of Ikkokudo’s most famous bits.
You don’t need any props, so as long as you practice, you can perform it anytime, even if you’re suddenly asked to.
It’s a one-shot gag that quietly requires practice, but it’s also a basic technique that can be applied to other forms of ventriloquism, so be sure to master it.

Gag CollectionShooting Star Chuuei

Chuei from the comedy duo Nagareboshi is famous for having lots of hilarious one-liner gags.
So when it’s hard to come up with your own, trying to imitate Chuei’s gags can be one strategy.
This video introduces many of Chuei’s well-known gags, so practice the ones you like or think you can pull off and give them a try.
