Simple One-Sheet Origami (81–90)
How to fold a winged heart

A simple heart with wings design boosts the cuteness and playfulness in no time! First, fold the paper in half twice to make creases.
Fold the near edge up to the center.
Flip it over, fold the left and right edges to the center, then fold the near edge like making a boat, pressing in fine folds to set the lines.
Open it and continue folding in an accordion style.
Next, fold both bottom corners up into triangles.
Shape the corners into a heart, and your winged heart is complete! By changing the angle and size of the wings, the look changes, so you can enjoy creating your own original design.
Foldable with a single sheet! How to fold a round tube

The bottom is octagonal, but viewed from directly above, it’s a cute box with a perfectly round rim.
First, place the color you want on the sides of the box on the back, and the color you want on the inside and rim on the front.
After folding the paper into thirds, fold the outer edge inward to align with the inner crease.
Repeat the same fold for the other three sides.
Make creases by folding in half vertically and horizontally.
Once you’ve added the finer creases, open it up and, using those creases as guides, fold all sides from the edges so the paper takes the shape of a box.
Finally, round the areas where two layers overlap firmly, and you’re done! Since the rim shows the front side of the paper, using double-sided origami will give the box an even more stylish look.
How to fold a two-color heart
Let’s make a larger heart that can be displayed on a wall using two colors of origami paper! First, align the top and bottom edges of the paper and make a crease mark by pressing only the left edge.
Unfold the paper, then fold the bottom edge up to meet the mark and make another crease in the same way.
Next, fold the top edge down to align with the second mark you made.
Fold both sheets the same way, and on just one of them, fold the left corner up to meet the crease made by folding the top edge.
Stack and combine the two sheets, then fold the corners to shape the heart.
envelope

You need an envelope but don’t have one on hand? Here’s a handy idea: make an envelope out of origami paper.
First, fold the paper into a triangle.
Then fold the left and right corners inward so they align with the base.
Make sure the corners overlap slightly at the center, and tuck one corner into the other.
If you’re worried it might come undone, secure it with glue or tape.
Next, fold down the top corner so the paper forms a rectangle, and tuck the front flap inside.
Your envelope is complete! Use your favorite origami paper to create your ideal envelope.
mushroom

Let’s make a cute mushroom out of a single sheet of origami—just like one you’d see in a picture book! First, crease along the diagonal, then fold two adjacent corners in to meet at the center.
Fold the bottom edge up toward the central crease and flip the paper over.
Next, fold the left and right edges in to align with the center line.
Make a squash fold to create the separation between the cap and the stem.
Open the pocketed section slightly and slim down the stem as you shape it, then fold the corners to round the edges—and you’re done.
If you add patterns to the cap with a pen or stickers, it’ll look even cuter!
dolphin

Let me show you how to fold a cute dolphin from a single sheet of origami paper.
First, make two creases along the diagonals, then fold the paper into a triangle toward those creases.
Next, fold it into a diamond shape and form the head.
To create a rounded head, gradually soften the corners.
It’s easy to fold, but the shaping can bring out personal style, which makes this a fun origami project.
You could also fold some fish and stick them on a wall or window to create a lively aquarium scene.
Give it a try!
poop

For some reason, kids love poop…
While it can be a bit awkward when they keep saying the word, if they find out they can easily make one with origami, they’ll probably be thrilled, right? Here’s how: after folding into a triangle, fold the two sides along the crease, then fold the white triangular part and tuck it inside.
Next, keep folding so it looks layered, and finish by folding the corners slightly to round it out.
Done! It looks pretty realistic, doesn’t it? (lol) If you make them in different colors and line them up, they turn out surprisingly cute—give it a try!
randoseru (Japanese elementary school backpack)

With just one sheet of origami paper, you can make a three-dimensional randoseru (Japanese school backpack)! First, crease the paper to divide it vertically into four equal sections, then cut off the outermost quarter.
Fold this cut-off piece to make the backpack flap.
Next, cut a portion from the remaining three-quarters to create the shoulder straps.
Attach the straps and the flap to the rectangular bag-shaped body made from the remaining section, and your tiny randoseru is complete.
Pair it with a backpack cover made from a different origami sheet for an even cuter finish.
Give it a try!
cherry blossom

When it gets warmer, cherry blossoms color the city in a cute way.
The fluttering petals that fall are beautiful, too.
This time, I’ll show you how to fold a cherry blossom petal.
Please prepare origami paper and scissors.
First, fold the paper in half twice, then open it once to make a rectangle.
There will be a crease in the center; using that as a guide, add a diagonal cross crease on the right side.
Align the lower left corner with the center of the cross crease on the right, then fold it back to the left.
Fold the right side along the left layer of paper, and finally fold it back to the rear.
After that, use scissors to cut the bottom in a rounded curve, and you’re done.
They look adorable if you make them in various sizes and decorate your wall!
gun

Let’s try making a cool gun out of a single sheet of origami paper! First, fold it into a triangle twice to make crease lines.
Open it up, then fold the top and bottom toward the center.
Fold upward toward the center once more.
Bring the right and left sides together and fold to make it half.
Open it slightly and return it, then fold toward the center line.
From here, you’ll be flipping it over and doing some detailed steps, but as it gradually takes the shape of a gun, it’s exciting to make! It also looks cool to make them in different sizes and line them up for display!
