JupiterHirahara Ayaka

Ayaka Hirahara’s “Jupiter,” crafted from Holst’s “Jupiter.” As she weaves her own words and sings with calm grace, I feel a depth that transcends the original “Jupiter.” It’s a song with the power to embrace everything with gentleness and warmth, no matter when you listen to it.
orionYonezu Kenshi

Orion by Kenshi Yonezu, a leading contemporary artist.
The repeating rhythm and the chords of the strings feel pleasant, while the delicate lyrics ride on his one-of-a-kind voice, giving the song its unique flavor.
With its modern, stylish approach, this track feels like a spice that can give your everyday life a little extra boost.
If I could become a constellationkessoku bando

Bocchi the Rock! is an anime that depicts girls pouring their hearts into band activities.
In the story, the rock band Kessoku Band performs the song “If I Could Be a Constellation.” The track centers on the wonder and mystique of being able to feel the light of stars from faraway places.
In keeping with that theme, the band the friends formed is likened to a constellation made up of gathered stars.
If you watch the performance scenes in the anime, you’ll be able to sink even deeper into its world.
astronomical observationBUMP OF CHICKEN

You can’t help but get excited when the intro starts, right? Released in 2001, it’s one of BUMP OF CHICKEN’s signature and classic songs.
When you think of songs about space, many people probably think of “Tentai Kansoku” first.
It feels like it paints a distant future, yet its lyrics about familiar youthful days are always encouraging no matter how many times you listen.
Life is vast and answerless like the universe, and this song stays close to our everyday lives; its warmth, which grows from small sparks of hope, is sure to color those fleeting moments that will never return.
Starry NightYuka

It’s a heart-stirring love song that invites you into a fantastical cosmic world.
Woven together by Yuka’s transparent, pure vocals and a beautiful melody that evokes a starry sky, this piece resonates deeply with listeners.
Released digitally in February 2023, the track became a hot topic as the theme song for the TV Asahi drama “Hoshifuru Yoru ni” (When the Stars Fall).
It also drew attention for being produced by Toru of ONE OK ROCK.
It’s perfect for moments when you want to feel the bond with someone special, or when you’d like to spend a quiet time gazing at the night sky.
An ideal song for anyone who wants to be wrapped in a romantic atmosphere.
A Letter to an AstronautBUMP OF CHICKEN

When it comes to space, the artist that comes to mind is BUMP OF CHICKEN.
“Letter to an Astronaut,” released in 2010, is a love song about someone precious.
One of BUMP’s charms is the sense of grand romance they evoke, and even without the word “space” appearing, that vast scale seems to seep through.
It’s simple, yet carries delicate nuances that allow for many interpretations.
It shines alongside a band sound that lifts your spirits.
Even if distance separates us, our hearts remain connected—this masterpiece makes you want to cherish small happiness and the irreplaceable present.
ApolloPorunogurafiti

A 1999 single that marked Porno Graffitti’s debut.
Even now, it’s a track with an outstanding impact.
The worldview shaped by the Apollo program evokes a lunar atmosphere.
The solid band sound and Akihito’s crisp vocals feel fresh and exhilarating! The guitar and ensemble in the interlude give the impression of cutting through countless cosmic waves as they move forward.
If a future comes where going to the moon is routine, I’d love to play “Apollo” on the way.
The mood of the 2007 live tour “OPEN MUSIC CABINET LIVE” is brimming with a spacey vibe, so be sure to give that a listen too!
