Goldfish Kendama
Let’s give the classic, kid-favorite toy kendama a summery twist! In this version, the ball becomes a goldfish and the cup becomes an aquarium.
First, cut a plastic bottle in half.
Use the half with the spout.
Poke a hole in the cap, thread yarn through it, secure it so it won’t slip out, and screw the cap back onto the bottle.
On the other end of the yarn, sandwich it between two caps and wrap red tape around them.
Use raffia (suzuran tape) to make the tail, and add round stickers for the eyes to complete the goldfish.
Then decorate the plastic bottle so it looks like an aquarium, and you’re done.
An adult should cut the plastic bottle and cover the cut edge with tape for safety.
In conclusion
We introduced some recommended summer craft ideas for five-year-olds.
When doing crafts with five-year-old children, encourage them in a way that helps their imaginations grow about how they want to create things, and, while discussing together, actively incorporate their ideas into the project.
You’ll surely end up with wonderful works full of each child’s individuality.
We hope you can spend fulfilling time indoors while still feeling the summer season.
