Simple Card Magic for Beginners (21–30)
You can do calculations with playing cards!? Simple playing-card magic

In this magic trick, you do a calculation using two selected playing cards.
For example, let’s say the selected cards are a 6 and a 2.
Add 6 and 2 to get 8… then when you turn over the 8th card from the top of the deck, an 8 will appear.
This is a self-working trick, meaning it requires no sleight of hand.
By placing the 4, 8, Q, and 3 at predetermined positions in the deck beforehand, doing the math will make the correct card appear from the deck.
At the beginning, you show three cards, but in fact all three are 6s—and the next three cards are all 2s!
A simple card change that can only be done through video

A teleportation-style magic trick where a card changes into another card or appears from a different place.
You might want to try it but think it looks difficult, right? However, with a small trick, there are card changes you can do easily.
Using two cards, you can make it look like one card instantly changes into another.
To pull off this trick, the key is to black out the back of one card and edit the image.
It’s a visual magic using image editing, but why not try incorporating it when making a magic video? It seems like you can perform a card change more easily than with regular sleight-of-hand.
Card Transformation & Transposition Magic (1–10)
A color change using a double cut and a double lift

It’s a magic trick where you show a different card from the one the spectator chose to make them think you’ve failed, then instantly switch it with the correct card.
This trick uses two techniques: the double cut and the double lift.
The double cut is a technique where you return the chosen card to the deck and then cut the deck twice to bring the target card to the top or bottom.
The double lift is a technique where you make it look like you’re lifting one card when you actually lift two.
By mastering these two techniques, you can take on more advanced magic tricks! Be sure to practice!
The two black kings go to the selected card.

Among card tricks, the classic is the type where cards switch places.
First, you draw the top and bottom cards of the deck and show them to the audience.
It’s best if these cards are numbers that are easy to remember.
Next, have a spectator draw a card.
They show their card to everyone and return it to the deck.
Then, when you turn over the card you first drew, the spectator’s card mysteriously appears.
There are several methods, but the simplest is to only pretend to return the card to the deck and secretly switch it with the card in your hand.
Derive the same number of cards from two bundles

This is a magic trick using 17 cards.
First, you take 17 selected cards and turn them face up, then mix them with the remaining cards and split the deck into two piles.
In the end, the number of face-up cards in both piles becomes the same.
It’s a trick that leaves the audience wondering how it happened.
Playing cards that flip over in an instant

It’s a magic trick where cards inserted facing the same way instantly turn over in the deck.
In reality, you have the spectator insert the 7 of Diamonds and the 8 of Hearts, but beforehand you’ve already reversed the 7 of Hearts and the 8 of Diamonds in the stack.
It’s a bit tricky, but with misdirection and patter, you can deceive and amaze your audience with a great trick.
Card change

It’s a magic trick called the card change that makes people gasp even when they’re watching right up close: you cover the top card with your palm, and when it’s shown again, it’s a different card! To put it simply, the secret is that you’re just swapping the cards while covering them with your hand.
You pretend to rub the card, push down on the top card, use the base of your palm to pull the card underneath, and then push it out to the front.
It does take a bit of practice.
