A prophecy that guesses the order of the cards

A prophecy that guesses the order of the cards

It’s a magic trick where you jumble up 10 playing cards, then open a prophecy envelope that appeared from somewhere else—and it correctly predicts the order of those supposedly mixed-up cards! Only 10 cards are used.

The secret is that the way of shuffling is predetermined, and no matter how many times you “shuffle” after that, the order doesn’t actually change—it’s just an optical illusion.

I’m impressed by how techniques like Top Control and Bottom Control, which are fundamentals of card magic, can be arranged to create so many different effects.

This one, among them, is especially beautiful to watch.

Even knowing the method, the precise and brilliant handling is breathtaking.

Practice it over and over until it’s truly yours!

Mind-reading card trick

The pinnacle of card revelations: the secret behind mind-reading card magic
Mind-reading card trick

This is a magic trick where you rapidly riffle through a stack of cards with your fingers, have the spectator choose the card that sticks in their mind, and then name it.

It feels like mind reading, so it’s sure to amaze.

The secret is to prepare multiple copies of the card you want them to remember and place them together near the top of the deck.

In this state, when you riffle the cards, those cards stay in view slightly longer than the others, which greatly increases the chance they’ll be chosen.

To really make the spectator feel like you read their mind, it’s worth putting care into your patter and presentation when you reveal the card.

A card revelation using the four Aces

A super simple way to guess the card! [Playing Card Magic with Explanation Included]
A card revelation using the four Aces

Let me introduce a card revelation game using the four Aces.

First, take four cards of the same value from the deck to prepare.

Next, prepare 13 cards.

Have a spectator choose 3 cards from those 13.

Sandwich the spectator’s chosen cards.

Performing a false cut to draw the spectator’s attention is also a key point.

Then divide the four initially selected cards into two pairs and sandwich the falsely cut cards between them.

If you follow the steps correctly, you can reveal the three chosen cards at the end and the magic is a success.

Guess the chosen card without any clues

Guess the chosen card without any clues

Let me introduce a magic trick where you guess the chosen cards.

First, have a spectator draw two cards from the deck.

Without looking at them, have the spectator place them back on top of the deck.

Next, ask the spectator to shuffle the deck in various ways.

The trick is that the performer then identifies the two selected cards.

In fact, the deck has been arranged so that reds and blacks alternate, and the spots where that order is disrupted reveal the spectator’s chosen cards.

Since a few subtle sleights are involved, refer to the video for details.

Fast Card Pull

Fast Card Pull

It’s a magic trick where you shuffle the deck containing the spectator’s chosen card and immediately draw it.

Tricks that are so fast they’re over in an instant are really cool, aren’t they? It looks like it will take practice to make it look elegant, but once you master it, it should land perfectly.

Technique-/procedure-focused magic (1–10)

Shocking Monte: Every Chosen Card Rises to the Top

[61] [Revealing the Secrets of Easy Pro-Level Magic] I’ll explain magic tricks whose methods won’t be exposed.
Shocking Monte: Every Chosen Card Rises to the Top

Have the spectator take any number of cards they like from the deck, between 20 and 40, and set aside the rest; those won’t be used.

Then divide the selected packet into four piles.

Next, turn face up the top card of each pile and have them choose one of those four cards.

Turn the top cards face down again, then begin moving the top cards from pile to pile while asking, “Where is the chosen card?” Of course, the spectator will be able to track it—but here’s the kicker: the top cards of all four piles end up being the same value! It’s a flashy, baffling effect that’s sure to amaze.

The only setup is to arrange 16 cards in advance: four of each value across the four suits.

After that, if you follow the prescribed sequence for moving the cards, it’s an easy, highly recommended trick.
