A collection of Western songs with titles that start with numbers

In this article, I’ll be introducing classic Western songs whose titles begin with numbers.

When it comes to number-starting titles, some consist of numbers only, while others have words following the numbers.

If you’re knowledgeable about Western music, you might already have a few songs in mind.

That said, we don’t often search for songs by categories like “titles that start with XX,” so this could be a great chance to discover wonderful tracks you didn’t know before.

Take this opportunity to listen to a variety of songs!

The most fitting choice among the latest popular singer-songwriters for this theme is Justin Vernon, the lead figure, vocalist, and guitarist of Bon Iver.

His compositions are truly unique—songs that no one can imitate—and they are highly regarded even in hip-hop and dance music.

Bryan Adams – 18 ‘till I Die (Live At Wembley 1996)

This is the title track from the album “18 til I Die,” released in 1996.

The album cover is very striking; I remember seeing posters around town back then of Bryan sitting while playing the guitar.

It’s still popular today, so I highly recommend it.

Elis Regina – 20 Anos Blue (1972)

This is a work released by Elis Regina in 1972.

It’s a jazzy and bluesy number.

Speaking of Elis, she’s famous for her powerful, life-affirming vocals that shine on uptempo songs, but she’s also great at delivering mellow and sentimental tunes like this.

If the conditions had come together properly, I think this group could have achieved popularity and hits in Japan on par with The Chemical Brothers or Underworld.

They were truly popular from the 1980s to the early 1990s, and I believe they’re inactive now, which is a shame.

Lady Gaga – 911 (Short Film)

Lady Gaga’s iconic song “911,” released in September 2020, carries two messages.

One is the preciousness of life.

The other is that values change depending on one’s perspective.

I think you’ll understand the second message when you watch the music video.

While the song is rich in message, its melody is also highly refined, achieving a powerful sound reminiscent of Madonna’s musical style in the 1980s.

It pairs perfectly with cheer dance, so be sure to check it out.
