X JAPAN 『ENDLESS RAIN』(HD)
ENDLESS RAINX JAPAN

In contrast to their intense metal sound, X JAPAN’s grand ballads are a huge part of their appeal.

This song, which begins with YOSHIKI’s classically influenced, beautiful piano melody, is one that truly symbolizes the band.

Like unending rain falling on the heart, it seems to portray the feelings of carrying never-ending sorrow and unhealed wounds while still searching for the light.

HIDE’s wistful guitar solo further accentuates the poignancy.

Released as a single from the classic album BLUE BLOOD in December 1989, it also served as the theme song for the film Zipang.

The sight of fans breaking into a massive singalong at live shows is moving, and this is a ballad that keeps you company on nights when you want to quietly sink into your thoughts alone.

Opening quietly with rich piano melodies before surging into a heavy, grand sound, this track truly embodies the essence of X JAPAN.

It carries a powerful resolve to break free from all restraints and stride toward the future in one’s true, liberated form.

Toshl’s soul-stirring high tones overlap with the band’s own dramatic journey, striking deeply at the listener’s heart.

It was also featured as the commercial song for the film “Last Knights.” It’s a number that grants boundless courage when facing life’s obstacles or when you need to rouse your spirit.

This is a track packed with the new sound X JAPAN presented to the world after their reunion.

YOSHIKI’s message of “accepting pain and moving forward with life” seems to reflect the band’s dramatic journey.

The fierce metal sound coexists with Toshl’s beautifully piercing high notes, and the grand worldview woven from stillness and motion is truly overwhelming.

Released in June 2011, this work is the band’s second single with guitarist SUGIZO officially participating as a member.

It is also known for being featured in the pachinko machine CR FEVER X JAPAN.

Listen to it when you’re facing life’s hurdles—it will surely give you a push.

SADISTIC DESIREX JAPAN

X – Sadistic Desire (Kyoto Sports Valley 1988.09.04)
SADISTIC DESIREX JAPAN

This song is a remake of a piece HIDE composed during his time with Yokosuka Saber Tiger, arranged into an X version.

The lyrics were written by YOSHIKI.

The fusion of the pop sensibility HIDE creates with the mad, almost deranged lyrics becomes strangely addictive.

Longing ~A Broken-off Melody~X JAPAN

X JAPAN, who fused magnificent orchestration with rock and revolutionized Japan’s music scene.

This work was released in August 1995 as their 11th single.

Showcasing YOSHIKI’s exceptional compositional sensibility, it’s an achingly lyrical ballad also included on the acclaimed album DAHLIA.

Toshl’s crystalline high tenor, as if singing of the swelling feelings for someone you can’t meet and a yearning for beautiful, lost memories, pierces the heart.

The promotional video directed by David Lynch also became a major talking point.

It’s a song you’ll want to listen to on a night when you want to sink deeply into a sentimental mood while thinking of someone dear.

The music video was filmed on the rooftop of Aqua City Odaiba in Tokyo.

It was a large-scale production featuring aerial shots from a helicopter and artificial rain using six tons of water, reaffirming the grand scale of the band X.

BLUE BLOODX JAPAN

BLUE BLOOD is a landmark masterpiece that carved its name into the history of Japanese rock.

Sharing its title with the album, this track is quintessential X JAPAN.

A world where madness and sorrow intersect is portrayed with ferocious intensity by the breakneck twin guitars and the thunderous rhythm section.

Toshi’s piercing high-register vocals ring out like a cry from the depths of the soul, seizing the listener’s very spirit.

The album featuring this song was released in April 1989 and became a long-running hit, staying on the charts for over 100 weeks.

It’s a dramatic classic, perfect for those moments when you want to break free from the everyday and surrender yourself to an overwhelming flood of sound.
