Longing ~A Broken-off Melody~X JAPAN

X JAPAN, who fused magnificent orchestration with rock and revolutionized Japan’s music scene.
This work was released in August 1995 as their 11th single.
Showcasing YOSHIKI’s exceptional compositional sensibility, it’s an achingly lyrical ballad also included on the acclaimed album DAHLIA.
Toshl’s crystalline high tenor, as if singing of the swelling feelings for someone you can’t meet and a yearning for beautiful, lost memories, pierces the heart.
The promotional video directed by David Lynch also became a major talking point.
It’s a song you’ll want to listen to on a night when you want to sink deeply into a sentimental mood while thinking of someone dear.
Scarlet Love SongX JAPAN

This is a magnificent ballad in long-awaited Japanese lyrics by X JAPAN, who resumed their activities.
The delicate piano melodies crafted by YOSHIKI and the sweeping strings weave an awe-inspiring soundscape.
Layered on top, Toshl’s richly expressive vocals portray a moving tale of burning, pure love.
The song was written in June 2011 as the theme for the animated film “Osamu Tezuka’s Buddha: The Great Departure,” and it harmonizes beautifully with the film’s grand worldview.
It’s the perfect number for moments when you want to feel deep affection for someone special or immerse yourself in music with a strong narrative quality.
I.V.X JAPAN

This single was the band’s first release in ten years.
It also served as the tie-in song for a film that was released worldwide, making it their global debut track.
The music video was filmed on the rooftop of Aqua City Odaiba in Tokyo.
It was a large-scale production featuring aerial shots from a helicopter and artificial rain using six tons of water, reaffirming the grand scale of the band X.
XX JAPAN

A fierce number with roaring fast drums that could be called the band’s theme song.
At live shows, the customary “X Jump” has the audience crossing their arms and jumping.
The band also does member introductions in the middle of the song.
It’s often performed at the climax of their concerts.
TearsX JAPAN

One of the fundamental elements at the core of YOSHIKI’s music is “tears.” This piece is a song he wrote in memory of his late father.
At the time the single was released, he had not disclosed details about his father, but later revealed that he had died young for reasons unknown.
While sorrow can at times give rise to remarkable art, for YOSHIKI this is what it means to live.
For “you.” For himself.
WEEK ENDX JAPAN

It’s melodic rock with that unique YOSHIKI groove—like “this is what rock ’n’ roll would sound like if YOSHIKI made it.” The word “shūmatsu” can mean both “weekend” and “the end,” and the music video, themed around suicide, also caused a public stir.

EASY FIGHT RAMBLINGX JAPAN

Composed by TAIJI, the original songwriter.
The shuffle rhythm TAIJI creates adds a distinctive color that sets it apart from other tracks.
It’s a song that once again showcases the band’s versatility.
The exquisite transition from the drums in the intro to the entry of the bass is truly exciting.
