sabotageRyokushokushakai

When it comes to bands from Aichi Prefecture, RyokuShaka—aka Ryokushaka (Ryokuoushoku Shakai)—immediately comes to mind! Formed in 2012 by high school classmates and childhood friends, their endlessly poppy, colorful worldview is dazzling and wonderful.
The dynamic range unique to a mixed-gender band and vocalist Haruko Nagaya’s voice well up from deep within with a quiet emotional power that really hits you in the heart.
It’s like a treasure box of sound! Their signature song “sabotage” was the theme for the drama G Senjou no Anata to Watashi.
Their band name originated from a mishearing, but it beautifully reflects their color and identity, don’t you think?
Full-Power BoySukima Suichi

Sukima Switch, the popular male duo that has released numerous hit songs, is made up of two members—Mr.
Ohashi and Mr.
Tokita—who are both from Aichi Prefecture.
Although the two met when Ohashi was in high school, their activities as Sukima Switch began a bit later.
When Ohashi was pursuing music on his own, he asked Tokita to arrange one of his songs.
Since Tokita had long been captivated by Ohashi’s singing, he seized the opportunity and, so to speak, talked him into forming Sukima Switch.

See you againSEAMO

SEAMO, a rapper from Nagoya affectionately known by the nickname “Jukuchō” (the Headmaster), originally performed under the name “Seamonator” before changing it in 2005.
He drew attention through collaborations with numerous artists, including BENNIE K.
His signature strong style and crisp, easily intelligible flow are undeniably cool, and like his long-running hit representative track “Mata Aimashou,” the melodic quality that resonates deeply is one of SEAMO’s charms.
Today, he’s also well-known in the horse racing world as a racehorse owner, building a unique style that is quintessentially SEAMO.
Shunkan SentimentalHARUNA, MAMI

SCANDAL is a girls’ band that represents Japan and is active worldwide.
They formed in Kyobashi, Osaka in 2006 and made their major debut in October 2008.
Although the band has deep ties to Osaka, vocalist/guitarist HARUNA and guitarist MAMI are from Aichi Prefecture.
At first, I felt they drew attention for their buzz and visuals, but their multifaceted coolness—including their artistic worldview and fashion sense—has grown year by year! Their music spans a wide range, from solid tracks like “Saishuu Heiki, Kimi” to pop and warm songs like “LOVE ME DO.” Their down-to-earth, unpretentious personalities, their performance skills honed on stage since high school, and their power to draw in the audience are incredibly cool.
We can’t take our eyes off SCANDAL as they keep on running!
An irreplaceable worldHirate Yurina

A singer who debuted as a first-generation member of Keyakizaka46, a group that shocked the J-pop scene with their cool, disciplined choreography and message-driven songs.
From the group’s debut single “Silent Majority” onward, she served as center for every title track until her departure, leaving many listeners stunned by her overwhelming presence.
Although the group’s concept gave her a strong image of being expressionless and emotionless, co-stars have testified that she’s actually warm and friendly offstage.
Since going solo, she has been active not only as a singer but also as an actor, and she is an artist expected to soar even higher in the future.

They’re a music group known not only for their passionate, cool tracks, but also for supporting their local community.
