YURIE

YURIE is a cool singer whose jazzy vocals evoke a mature woman.
She is from Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture.
The song in the video is included on her 2017 album “Yurie no Uta.” Her method of raising funds for producing the CD through crowdfunding drew attention.
Bands, artists, and singers from the Kansai region (261–270)
Supernovaalcott

Alcott is captivating with their refreshing pop songs.
Centered around vocalist Saiji Kida, who handles almost all the songwriting and composing, the band was formed in August 2010.
Their familiar, easy-to-love melodies and catchy phrasing make you want to listen over and over.
Keep an eye on Buta Fes, the festival they host in their hometown of Kobe.
I hope they become a band that represents the Kansai scene, like Kyuso Nekokami or THE ORAL CIGARETTES!
Song of Determinationbacho

Bachou is a rock band that layers powerful, message-driven lyrics over a fluid, elegant band sound.
The name comes from Ma Chao of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
Formed in 2002, they’re based in Himeji City.
After several lineup changes, they’ve settled into a four-piece.
Their lyrical guitars and the direct, piercing vocals of Kinya Kitahata—who cites THE BLUE HEARTS and eastern youth as influences—really hit home.
Highly recommended for fans of emotional, masculine guitar rock!
Mind Travelbird

Bird, known for the hit “Sora no Hitomi,” hails from Kyoto Prefecture.
This track, “Mind Travel,” was released in 2000.
Her cool vocals are on full display here as well.
It’s a stylish song whose electrifying coolness you can really enjoy.
ENERGYearthmind

Erina, who performs as the vocalist for the music group earthmind, is from Kashihara City in Nara Prefecture.
Their third single, ENERGY, became their first to enter the top 10 of the Oricon charts, and the title track was used as the opening theme for the TV anime Vividred Operation.
Feeling great!!hiroko

Hiroko, known as the vocalist of mihimaru GT, is from Ashiya City in Hyogo Prefecture.
She is a singer with a cute, energetic voice that leaves a strong impression.
She moved to Tochigi Prefecture when she was in junior high school.
However, even after moving, she has continued to speak Kansai dialect.
ofulover

ofulover is a rock band formed at Kwansei Gakuin University in 2016.
Calling themselves a “cocky rock band that fires up the floor,” they’re active mainly in Kobe.
This cool track, featuring husky vocals and a fast-paced guitar sound, is included on their second EP, ‘ily,’ released in 2018.
