Cheer Cheer ExerciseNEW!Shinzawa Toshihiko

How about a fun warm-up that gets everyone moving at the start of Sports Day? This is a warm-up number from the album “Shinzawa Toshihiko no Odoru! Undokai,” created by Toshihiko Shinzawa.

Released in June 2018, it’s a short 1 minute and 11 seconds—perfect for keeping kids engaged and ready to move right away.

There’s no fixed choreography; you simply shake different parts of your body freely to the song, which makes the high degree of freedom a big plus.

It’s easy to teach and easy for everyone to join in, so it has long been loved as a staple song in nursery schools and kindergartens.

Be sure to include it for a time filled with children’s smiles!

Circle Triangle Square Exercises (feat. Mana Ogawa)NEW!shimajirou

A gymnastics song that combines early childhood education and exercise play, letting kids learn basic shapes by expressing them with their bodies.

With easy-to-follow moves that mimic shapes using the arms and body, it’s great that preschoolers can enjoy dancing along! Also included on albums like “Shimajiro Kodomo Dance,” this track was released digitally around September 2020, and its short 1 minute 41 seconds is packed with friendly charm.

Shimajiro and Mana Ogawa provide the vocals, and it’s also used as a companion song for the correspondence education program Kodomo Challenge.

Since kids can enjoy both shape learning and dance together, it’s perfect for daily exercises at nursery schools and kindergartens, as well as for sports days.

How about everyone getting moving with lots of energy?

Warm-up Exercise “Sumo Wrestler”NEW!Satō Hiromichi

Looking for a warm-up routine that kids can enjoy with smiles at the start of your sports day? This piece was created by Hiromichi Sato, who served as the 10th “Taiso no Onii-san”! Inspired by sumo, it’s packed with big, full-body movements like stomping shiko and squatting low.

It first appeared in March 2009 on the practical sports day CD album “Hiromichi & Tanizo’s It’s Sports Day—Everyone Gather!” and was re-released in June 2011 on the album “Hiromichi & Tanizo’s After All, It’s a Parent-Child SHOW!” As a tie-in, it has become widely beloved as teaching material for school events and early childhood education settings.

It’s highly recommended for thoroughly loosening up before competitions while everyone gets into character as sumo wrestlers.

Released in October 2021 as a track on the album “Asobi no Moto,” it hasn’t been tied in with TV or films, but it has actually been used at kindergarten sports days and nursery school concerts, bringing smiles to children’s faces.

The song is designed so that even very young children aged two and up can join in easily, featuring light movements inspired by familiar spring plants and catchy, easy-to-mimic sounds.

What’s more, it can be expanded into a fun rhythm activity using tambourines and bells, so why not incorporate it into everyday childcare or calisthenics at sports days?
