Dreaming UniverseBUCK-TICK

This is a work that feels as if you’re gently cradled by the vast cosmos, with a dreamy, floating sensation that is deeply soothing.
Atsushi Sakurai weaves words full of compassion that embrace loneliness, softly colored by Hisashi Imai’s spacey effects and shimmering guitar sounds.
Released to the world in May 2012 as the B-side to the single “Für Elise,” it was later reworked as the title track for the album “Yume Miru Uchuu,” commemorating the 25th anniversary of their debut in September of the same year.
The fact that it was the first release from their own label can also be seen as symbolic of their journey.
MISS TAKE ~I Am Miss Take~BUCK-TICK

The 32nd single, released in 2012 on their own label, Lingua Sounda.
Lyrics and composition were handled by guitarist Hisashi Imai, which is unusual for a single’s title track.
The clear instrumental phrases strongly bring out the sense of rhythm.

Like a gnatBUCK-TICK

A track from the 2010 album “RAZZLE DAZZLE.” What’s enjoyable about merely being alive? The core message of this song, I believe, is that we should savor life more.
Just being alive isn’t enough.
No—precisely because we are alive, it urges us to fully take in and savor what we see and feel.
CandyBUCK-TICK

While it’s the 12th single and pop and easy to listen to, the intense, edgy band sound creates a unique atmosphere.
There’s an anecdote that during their period of pursuing a darker direction, they aimed to craft a “so pop it feels out of place” song.
You’ll likely struggle with the sound design when trying to cover it…
long distance callBUCK-TICK

A song that is very popular among BUCK-TICK fans.
The delayed phrase in the intro, along with the digital sounds and beat, seem to embody the title itself.
The chorus delivers a powerful, weighty sound layered with the lyrics “I love you,” making it a song with a strong message.
The laughter that appears partway through, the voice on the phone, and the communication that finally cuts off all invite various interpretations.
Literally, the title means long-distance communication, and while it can be understood in many ways, there is also a theory that it was written with war as its theme.
mayflyBUCK-TICK

My first impression when I listened to this song was that it’s classic, straight-ahead rock.
The guitar tone feels similar to THE BACK HORN.
The vocalist’s clinging, entwining voice is so distinctive that once you get hooked, it could become addictive.
The slight touch of an oldies vibe also makes it a really nice track.
Alice in Wonder UndergroundBUCK-TICK

As you can guess from the title, it’s a pop, easy-to-listen-to song that incorporates slightly fairy-tale-like phrases and rhythms.
There’s a part in the song where guitarist Mr.
Imai sings a solo, and the lyrics there are quoted directly from the track DIABOLO.
That kind of playful touch is really interesting.
