sky blueyama

Amaresora, which was used as the CM song for Rocky’s “Beautiful Drive @ Terraced Rice Fields” commercial.
It’s a track included on singer-songwriter yama’s first album, the meaning of life, released in 2021—yama is also known for songs like “Haru wo Tsugeru.” This song was actually yama’s first as both lyricist and composer.
While yama often evokes a mysterious, lyrical style, Amaresora, though introspective, also feels outward-looking, carrying a gentle sensation like being touched by the wind.
It’s a beautiful number whose sense of speed pairs perfectly with the vocals and the clear, expansive sky.
Le PiccadillyErik Satie

Erik Satie, the French composer widely known for pieces like the Gymnopédies and said to have greatly influenced Debussy and Ravel, wrote “Piccadilly” in 1901—a cakewalk number with a lively duple meter that’s great fun.
The piece was originally a chanson composed for Satie to play at the bar where he worked as a pianist and was later arranged as a piano solo.
Free from strict adherence to traditional tonal music, it’s a quintessentially Satie work: a masterpiece whose free-flowing melody exudes a ragtime-like coolness and originality.
NEW DAY DREAMERflumpool

NEW DAY DREAMER, the song from the Daihatsu Taft commercial featuring Taishi Nakagawa, is included on flumpool’s fourth album, Real, released in 2020.
It’s a track packed with that quintessential flumpool exhilarating, soaring feel and lyrics that really hit home.
It also serves as an uplifting anthem for those trying something new or facing tough challenges, giving them strength to push forward.
Original song

The commercial for the Tanto Custom featuring DAIGO that aired in December 2018 used a really cool track—so cool that many people online said they wanted to hear the full version, and it became quite a hot topic.
Some even commented that it sounded like a Fall Out Boy song! But in fact, the track was an original piece written specifically for the commercial.
Although the artist hasn’t been officially revealed, it’s a very stylish and cool song that perfectly matches the image of the Tanto Custom.
Invitation to FreedomL’Arc〜en〜Ciel

An upbeat L’Arc-en-Ciel track released in 2004 that builds excitement right from the intro guitar.
It was one of my favorites that I had on heavy rotation back then, and I was captivated by the flowing melody composed by tetsu.
The lyrics come from a genuine desire to break free from busy days and be free, making it perfect for moments when you want to escape reality.
It was used in a Move Custom commercial, and it really makes you feel like you could race off anywhere!
MOVE ONYamashita Tatsuro

This commercial uses pop-style animation to show how Daihatsu’s Move supports various aspects of daily life.
It depicts a nighttime scene under a starry sky, and by overlapping it with shots of people taking in the cityscape, it creates a stylish atmosphere.
The song that further accentuates this stylish vibe is Tatsuro Yamashita’s “MOVE ON.” It gives the impression of gentle city pop, and its refreshing sound has a calming effect.
The Water is WideOhnuki Taeko

This commercial depicts the everyday lives of various people alongside the Daihatsu Move Canbus.
It shows people living by the sea and in nature, and how their daily routines are supported by the Move Canbus, conveying a sense of safety, trust, and easygoing drivability.
The song that underscores the gentle mood of the visuals is Taeko Onuki’s rendition of “The Water Is Wide.” It’s a cover that clearly pays homage to Karla Bonoff’s original, and the tender vocals layered with the sound of acoustic guitar convey a warm feeling.
