You often see Daihatsu commercials on TV—like for the Tanto, Move Canbus, Taft, and Rocky, right?

Each ad is carefully crafted with direction and casting that match the image and target audience of each car, resulting in many memorable commercials.

Of course, that strategy extends to the music used in the ads as well, with tracks chosen to perfectly suit each model.

In recent years, songs by hugely popular artists and up-and-coming bands have been featured more frequently, too.

In this article, we’ll introduce all the Daihatsu commercial songs—from those currently on air to past ones—in one go!

Daihatsu Tanto Custom

In its TV commercial, Mokomichi Hayami and Noriko Iriyama played a couple—many of you may remember it well.

The song used was Yutaka Ozaki’s classic ballad “I LOVE YOU,” but the version featured in the commercial was a cover by Kyogo Kawaguchi, who had a huge hit with “Sakura.” His clear, beautiful voice feels cleansing to the soul when you listen to it.

That familiar piece—the first movement of “Winter” from Vivaldi’s Violin Concerto in F minor, The Four Seasons—plays when Atsuro Watanabe, the developer of Move, looks back on the tough research days of his past.

It truly symbolizes his own personal winter.

And then, five years later, amid the bustling yet warm atmosphere of his new family life, “Autumn” plays.

It fits the story perfectly and is irresistibly funny.
