Want to listen again! DHC’s classic commercial songs. Popular commercial songs (11–20)
The Blue DanubeJohann Strauss II

The Blue Danube, a signature piece by Austrian composer Johann Strauss II, has been used as DHC’s corporate commercial song.
Its majestic tone, worthy of bearing the Danube’s name, brings peace to the heart.
The softly resounding strings—this is the very essence of a waltz, isn’t it? If anything deserves to be called an immortal masterpiece, it’s this.
Incidentally, I’ve heard that in Austria it’s even referred to as a “second national anthem.” That’s how beloved it is.
Perfect WorldKis-my-ft2

“Perfect World” is a B-side track on Kis-My-Ft2’s 11th single, “Another Future.” Don’t you feel like the world looks different and everyday life starts to sparkle when you meet someone special? This song, “Perfect World,” is filled with hope—it’s about the moment the person you’re drawn to appears before you, your daily life begins to shine, and courage wells up inside you.
The tune is very refreshing and lets you fully enjoy that signature Kis-My-Ft2 style!
Even when I become an old ladyMoritaka Chisato

A smash hit by Chisato Moritaka, often called the pioneer of Japanese-style Eurobeat.
It still sounds amazingly fresh, making it hard to believe it was released in 1992.
The lyrics, written to a younger boyfriend, feel almost like they’re drawn from Moritaka’s own experience.
They weave together only the fun pieces of youth.
It’s a song you’ll want to revisit while reflecting on how we all grow older.
By the way, there are a few small differences between the album and single versions of this track.
It might be fun to compare them!
Swan LakePyotr Tchaikovsky

When it comes to quintessential ballet music, Swan Lake is the one.
It was used in the Super Collagen “Glowing Skin: Common Sense” commercial.
Composed by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, the piece premiered in 1895.
From then to the present day, it has continued to be loved around the world as a masterpiece of classical ballet.
It has often served as the basis for films and novels, so many people may have a strong impression of it.
The image of swans gliding across a lake comes to mind from the sound arrangement alone.
Original song

Like in commercials, there are probably people who feel their face looks worse when they see themselves in the mirror.
Even if you tell yourself, “Don’t worry about it,” once you’ve noticed it, you just can’t ignore it.
The spot featuring Momoko Tanabe—Dense Dewy Color Lip Natural Aroma, “Brighten Every Day”—focuses on that kind of worry.
The music used starts with a piano phrase that conveys a troubled mood.
But toward the second half, it opens up, as if the worry is being resolved.
It’s a CM song that instantly brightens the mood.
Waltz of the FlowersPyotr Tchaikovsky

You can’t help but be enchanted by its elegant atmosphere.
This piece is “Waltz of the Flowers” from The Nutcracker by the composer Tchaikovsky.
While we’re introducing it here as the song used in the DHC Super Collagen “New Collagen” commercial, it’s been featured across many different media, so it’s likely very familiar to many of you.
Its greatest charm is a timeless melodic line that resonates with everyone.
It’s a quintessential work of ballet music that will continue to be loved around the world.

We are children of the sea.

The song featured in DHC’s deep ocean water “Umi no Kioku (Memory of the Sea)” commercial is the well-known “Ware wa Umi no Ko” (“I Am a Child of the Sea”).
It’s a traditional song that was selected for Japan’s Top 100 Songs.
As the title suggests, just listening to it conjures up majestic seascapes.
In the Meiji era it was included in elementary school textbooks, and later it was broadcast on NHK’s “Minna no Uta” and even used as a train approaching melody—making it widely beloved across Japan.
Especially for those who grew up by the sea, it’s sure to stir a sense of nostalgia.
