Whose Song Is It? The Catchy Docomo Commercial Track. Historical CM Songs [2026] (41–50)
Don’t Stop Me NowQueen

This is a series of commercials, familiar as the introduction to Docomo’s pricing plan “Docomo MAX,” featuring professional soccer players.
In each ad, the players share their passion for soccer, while highlighting that with Docomo MAX there are no data limits and DAZN can be enjoyed at no additional cost.
The background music is Queen’s classic “Don’t Stop Me Now,” expressing the resolve of a man who keeps moving straight ahead on his own path—“don’t try to stop me.”
I want to take only you away just like this.DEEN

Released in 1993 as DEEN’s debut single, it became the band’s biggest hit.
The composition was by Tetsuro Oda, and the lyrics by WANDS’s Sho Uesugi also drew attention.
Thanks in part to its use in a docomo commercial, it sold over a million copies.
think of UCrystal Kay

Crystal Kay’s “Think of U,” which was featured in a Docomo Kyushu commercial.
This track is an R&B number where her mellow vocals and harmonies blend beautifully.
The chorus has a particularly poppy melody, making it the highlight! Also, the song’s message—“I’m always thinking of you”—evokes the image of a child who has moved from their birthplace in Kyushu to the big city, keeping in touch with their parents by mobile phone, which fits the commercial’s theme perfectly.
AnyMr.Children

This song was released in 2002 as Mr.Children’s 23rd single.
Since 2002 marked the band’s 10th anniversary, it was selected as the campaign CM song for NTT DoCoMo’s “NTT docomo Group 10th Anniversary.”
JOINTRIP SLYME

The commercial song for NTT Docomo’s “Melody Call.” The title, which carries the meaning of “to connect” or “to splice together,” is reflected in the distinctive CD jacket featuring an illustration of an electrical outlet.
The music video is set in a sushi restaurant, and apparently even the members themselves say it’s a mystery why they chose a sushi restaurant at the time.
Song of the True Feelings of YouthHikaru Takahashi

In the docomo Seishun-wari U22 “Youth’s True Feelings Song” commercial, popular, versatile actor Tsuyoshi Muro and fashion model/actress Hikaru Takahashi appear.
The song Hikaru sings is a parody of Morning Musume’s well-known wedding song “Happy Summer Wedding.” In the lyrics, she apologizes to her parents for overspending on her smartphone bill, but explains that docomo’s plans solve the problem—an idea that fits perfectly with the tune.
skyPerfume

Here is the commercial capturing NTT Docomo and Perfume’s final countdown project of the Heisei era.
Leveraging cutting-edge communication technologies such as 5G, the special content was even broadcast live.
Among these, an experimental attempt was made to connect Yokohama Arena and the Shibuya Scramble Crossing in real time over 5G with no latency, and it’s fair to say that the collaboration with Perfume’s future-forward sound was a success.
