Three facial muscle exercisesNEW!

As we age, our emotions tend to flatten; we get less prone to intense anger or exaggerated laughter, and our facial expressions become less animated.
Some of you may relate to this.
Let’s free those emotions while doing a facial muscle workout.
First, place your forearms together from elbow to wrist in front of your face so your expression can’t be seen.
Then, as you open your arms, exaggerate the instructed expressions—angry, sad, smiling, and so on.
Speeding up the tempo makes it even more effective.

This “Ha-Hi-Fu-He-Ho Big Laugh Exercise” is effective for stretching the facial muscles and improving oral function.
Every syllable in the H-row is linked to laughter, and they’re sounds you can’t pronounce without really engaging your core.
By performing this H-row laughter with exaggerated expressions, you loosen the facial muscles, enrich your expressions, lift your mood, and stimulate saliva production in the mouth, which brings positive effects to the body.
It’s a recommended exercise even for those who haven’t laughed extravagantly lately.
Refreshed Face YogaNEW!

No matter how old we are, the desire to stay youthful and not give in to sagging or wrinkles never changes.
To help with that, let’s do face yoga to refresh your face! First, hold both ears and rotate them in circles, then gently pull them sideways and up and down.
Next, make fists, place them around your cheeks, and massage.
If you find tight spots, loosen them within a comfortable range.
Do the same by massaging around your head.
After loosening the neck area as well, shape your index finger like a hook and massage along the jawline and the nasolabial fold area.
Once you’ve relaxed the area around your eyes, roll your shoulders and stretch around your chest to finish.
Small Face Smile ExerciseNEW!

Firming the facial muscles can not only make your face look slimmer, but may also improve swallowing function.
First, puff out one cheek at a time for 15 seconds, doing two sets on each side.
Next, hold your ears and gently pull them sideways and then up and down for 15 seconds each.
After that, close your eyes and then quickly open them wide, repeating this movement about twice.
Next, do a stretch by tilting your neck to the left and right for 15 seconds each, two sets per side.
Finally, alternate making the “u” and “i” mouth shapes.
It’s easier to do along with upbeat music!
Face-Slimming Radio CalisthenicsNEW!

When you stay home alone and don’t talk to many people, or keep your mask on, the muscles in your face tend to stiffen more and more.
Let’s try some exercises to slim the face using the well-known Radio Calisthenics music.
First, form big “a‑i‑u‑e‑o” mouth shapes and blow kisses up toward the sky to engage muscles you don’t usually use.
It’s also surprisingly important to roll your tongue.
By using your facial muscles in an exaggerated way, let’s create a lively, expressive look.
Orbicularis oculi exerciseNEW!

If the orbicularis oculi muscle around your eyes weakens, your eyes can droop and your face can look older.
To keep a youthful expression, let’s train the orbicularis oculi! First, place three fingers just under your eyebrows and apply pressure for 10 seconds.
Next, make a peace sign with both hands and place one set of fingers at the outer corner and the other at the inner corner of your eye, then press for 10 seconds while gently pulling outward.
As you do this, gradually close your eyes.
Perform two sets of each of these two stretches on both the left and right sides.
Activating the orbicularis oculi with these stretches will make your eyes look wider and give you a more youthful expression!
Facial muscle exercisesNEW!

If your facial muscles weaken, you may start to worry about facial sagging, experience reduced muscle strength, or find your chewing power declining.
To prevent these issues, let’s do exercises that thoroughly train the facial muscles.
First, tilt your head to the right, look slightly upward, and massage along the side of your neck.
Do the same on the left side.
Next, apply acupressure around the jawline and the temples.
Do this within a comfortable, pain-free range.
Then, open your mouth and eyes wide, move your eyes up, down, left, and right, and make a big smile.
Also, open your mouth fully and vocalize the vowel sounds.
After each stretch, relax your facial muscles and be sure to take adequate breaks.
