Rosettes also shine as fashion accessories you can attach to clothing or bags.

Their bright, cute look makes them perfect gifts for friends or grandchildren.

First, use ribbon, a safety pin, and a circular piece of felt to create the back part of the rosette.

Next, cover a fabric button with cloth and trim away any excess.

Finally, attach the petal and ribbon pieces to complete the rosette.

Try making one with patterns or characters the recipient loves.

pressed-flower bookmark

A perfect gift for book lovers! Here are some ideas for making pressed-flower bookmarks.

Bookmarks are handy items you slip between the pages of a book you’re in the middle of, right? Many people probably use store-bought ones.

But how about making a one-of-a-kind pressed-flower bookmark to give as a gift this time? Press beautiful flowers that can only be seen in that season.

With self-adhesive laminate sheets and ribbon—both available at 100-yen shops—you can finish your bookmark in no time.

It’s a wonderful present, both lovely to display and practical to use.

Embroidered ribbons… so useful!! Looking forward to this year, too 🥰🙌💕 #shorts
Amulet strap made with Indian embroidered ribbon

Here’s an idea for a charm strap using Indian embroidered ribbon from a 100-yen shop.

Doing your own embroidery or adding sequins can be tough, but with this, you can make it easily.

First, cut a plastic sheet into a small piece and round the corners.

Apply double-sided tape along all four edges, then place a sequin in the center of the ribbon.

Stick it onto the plastic sheet, and wrap the back side with the ribbon as well.

Punch a hole for a ball chain, thread the chain through, and you’re done.

The sequin sparkling inside the ribbon looks adorable—give it a try!

cute clip

[How to Make Paper Quilling] A cute flower clip / Handmade crafts / DIY paper quilling tutorial. How to make a cute clip.
cute clip

These are cute clips you can make with paper quilling.

They’re practical, so they make great casual gifts! The key is to connect two thin, different-colored strips of paper beforehand.

Then roll them tightly with a skewer or toothpick and shape them into a teardrop.

Make five identical pieces to form petals.

Next, roll the paper the same way and shape it into an S to create leaves.

Finally, decorate a wooden clip (the kind you can buy at a dollar store) with lace stickers, petals, and leaves in that order—and you’re done! Have fun by changing up the color combinations and embellishments.

Drawer organizer

Drawer organizer

A pull-out drawer organizer is really handy to have, isn’t it? We’ll make one by covering milk cartons with fabric, and the great thing is that thanks to the fabric, it won’t look like it’s made from milk cartons.

Use two cartons to create the outer case and the inner drawer.

Make the inner part about 5 mm smaller so it slides in and out smoothly.

Brush a diluted wood glue on both pieces and apply your favorite fabric.

Using different fabrics for the outside and inside makes it extra cute.

Since it’s hard to pull out as is, attach a handle to finish it off.

Sakura Necklace

Let’s make a cute cherry blossom necklace using straws and origami.

First, divide a sheet of origami paper into four equal squares, then fold each one into five sections to create cherry blossoms.

Once you learn this method, it’s handy for easily making stars and flowers too.

Next, add leaves made from origami, punch a hole in the center, prepare some thread, and string them in the order of a short piece of straw, a flower, a straw, and a flower.

Threading straws onto the string is also great for fine motor rehabilitation, so I highly recommend it.

It also makes a lovely room decoration.

Flower making with DIY yarn

Flower making with DIY yarn

This is a flower mascot with a beautiful, soft appearance created by layering wrapped yarn.

Use two pencils as a base and wrap the yarn around them; then thread yarn through the gap between the pencils to tighten the center, remove the pencils, and form the petals.

Finally, combine the petal pieces with yarn to complete the flower, and carefully shape it so it clearly looks like a flower.

The pressure used while wrapping and how you tighten with the yarn are also key points for making a beautiful flower, so this activity encourages attention to finger movements and how much force to apply.
