Beanbag Toss Game

A game where you roll a beach ball into the opponent’s territory using beanbags.
Within the time limit, use your beanbags to roll the beach ball into the other side.
Since it’s a light beach ball, just hitting it with a beanbag will make it roll easily.
When time is up, the team that has the beach ball in their territory loses.
You can play seated in a small space! Even if it accidentally hits someone, both the beanbags and the beach ball are soft, so it’s safe.
Cleaning battle with uchiwa fans

Fan paper cups with a uchiwa and have a cleaning showdown! Put a tape mark in the center of the table and place paper cups evenly all over.
Once you’re standing by on both sides holding your uchiwa, start at the “Ready, go!” signal and fan from a low position to push the paper cups into your opponent’s territory.
The player with fewer cups left in their own territory at the end wins! The key is to fan as if you’re slapping the uchiwa against the table.
It could be even more fun if everyone draws pictures on the paper cups beforehand and you play with colorful cups.
Intro Quiz

An “intro quiz” is a game where you listen only to the beginning of a song and guess what it is.
If older adults are taking part, they might enjoy questions drawn from nostalgic songs or enka.
Hearing familiar old tunes can bring back many memories.
It’s also nice to enjoy it while chatting!
rod soccer

This “stick soccer” is a kind of soccer that people with limited mobility in their legs can play! Instead of using your feet to send the ball to the goal, each player uses a stick.
You also don’t need a large soccer field.
The game is played seated, with each team lined up in a single row along a narrow, partitioned court.
There’s a goal at each end of the court, and at the kickoff signal, players use their sticks to defend and attack, working the ball toward the goal to take a shot.
Even though it’s not played with your feet, it gets pretty intense!
Balloon-carrying game with vinyl tape

People probably imagine each person making a balloon float on their own, but adding a cooperative element could make it even more exciting.
In this version, pairs face each other and each holds an end of a strip of vinyl tape, pulling against one another and moving it to keep the balloon aloft.
You could aim to keep the balloon floating for as long as possible, or turn it into a game where you transport the balloon to a goal.
It’s a game that engages both body and mind: coordinating the pair’s movements while skillfully keeping the balloon in the air.
pole toppling

Beanbags, which are very popular in games for seniors, shine in a game called “Stick Tumble.” It’s the beanbag version of the beach game where you build a sand mound, plant a stick, and scrape away the sand around it.
You gather lots of beanbags, squeeze them tightly together to form a mound, and stand a stick in the center.
Players then take turns removing one beanbag each.
The person who causes the stick to fall loses.
Paper cup toss

Place several baskets in the middle between the two teams lined up in single files.
Using a stick such as a paper roll core to hook paper cups, the team that sends the most cups into the baskets wins in this “Paper Cup Toss.” Because you use paper cups and a stick, great strength isn’t necessary.
You’ll play while seated, but you’ll lean forward, so be careful not to tip over, and try to score as many points as you can!
