Easy! Beach Ball Recreation

Beach balls are light, easy to throw, and designed with safety in mind.
This time, we’ll introduce some recreational activities using a beach ball.
First, have older adults sit on chairs facing each other.
Place the beach ball on their outstretched legs and pass it to the next person in a relay style.
You could make it a team competition and prepare prizes for the winners to boost excitement.
Another lively option is beach ball soccer target toss: players kick the ball, and whoever gets it into the container first wins.
Since it involves a lot of leg movement, it helps strengthen older adults’ muscles and is also ideal for rehabilitation.
Clothespin Balance Game

This is the Clothespin Balance Game, which you can play with an empty plastic bottle and clothespins.
Clip a clothespin onto the mouth of the bottle.
From there, freely keep attaching more clothespins to the ends of other clothespins, and so on.
You can attach them wherever and however you like, but you must not touch the bottle.
The person who attaches the most clothespins within the time limit wins.

Balloon Relay

We’re going to do a relay using balloons and uchiwa fans! Of course, there’s no need to run—it’s a game you can enjoy while seated.
Place a balloon on your fan and pass it along from person to person; the team that relays the balloon to the last player the fastest wins.
It may look easy to just pass the balloon in order, but if you don’t move slowly, it’ll quickly fly off in another direction! If it drops, let’s help each other out and do our best to get it to the goal!
Sukiyaki Rock-Paper-Scissors Game

The “Sukiyaki Rock-Paper-Scissors Game” is a game where you collect sukiyaki ingredients: meat, grilled tofu, egg, shirataki noodles, and green onion.
How you collect them is by playing rock-paper-scissors! If you win a round, you get to choose an ingredient.
The first person to collect all the ingredients wins.
You can make it easy to understand by drawing the ingredients as illustrations on paper.
It’s a game for two or more players, and it gets pretty heated!
High-five relay

♪ Original song – Idea Wakuwaku Rehabilitation – Idea Wakuwaku Rehabilitation
It’s a game where you pass along high-fives to the next person, aiming to reach the final teammate before the opposing team does.
After doing five high-fives with the next person, you move on to the following one, so the speed of your arm movements is put to the test.
However, even if one side is fast, it won’t count as a high-five unless the hands meet, so a sense of cooperation is also crucial.
It might be important not to focus too much on clearing the game, but to share the fun of high-fiving as well.
Exciting towel activity

This is a game that tests how quickly you can make decisions by seeing the outcome of rock-paper-scissors and taking immediate action.
Towels are placed on the table: the winner of rock-paper-scissors quickly pulls the towel, while the loser immediately presses down on it.
If the towel isn’t pulled out, the game continues, and this sequence repeats until someone successfully pulls the towel free.
To act quickly in line with the rock-paper-scissors result, focus and on-the-spot judgment seem to be crucial.
Boom with a rolled-up newspaper!

All you need is newspaper—just that! First, make a box out of newspaper for each team.
Then place untouched sheets of newspaper in front of each team member.
On “Ready, go!”, tear and crumple the newspaper in front of you and toss it with a big thud into your team’s newspaper box.
The team with the most inside wins.
It’s not just about tearing and throwing; you’ll also think about how many pieces to tear the paper into to fit the most in the box, so it’s a brain game too! It’s super simple, but it’s guaranteed to get everyone excited.
