ELLEGARDEN’s classic and popular songs (1–10)
SupernovaELLEGARDEN

Among ELLEGARDEN’s songs, this is one of the most popular.
Its melodic hardcore punk energy and wistful melody have defined the band’s appeal.
It’s a live staple, and it was almost always played even at festivals or other short sets.

Guitarist Ubukata is one of the finest intro makers, and this intro—where his talent is on full display—is a masterpiece.
The lyrics are brimming with emotion, and you can feel everything through the phrasing alone.
It’s a song I’d like you to listen to when you’re feeling lonely.
MissingELLEGARDEN

It’s a classic that every guitar kid and band kid rushed to cover.
The simple, powerful structure and melodies—like they never once doubted the power of a band sound—are what drive ELLEGARDEN.
The final English phrase snaps perfectly into place and it’s awesome.
elevated lineELLEGARDEN

The guitar phrase in the intro is a true classic that just makes you want to imitate it and play along.
It’s a very short song, just under three minutes with a very simple structure, but the feeling packed into it is immeasurable.
There’s also an official music video, so be sure to check that out as well.
StereomanELLEGARDEN

Nowadays, with portable music players and the like, we live in an era where you can easily carry around a vast amount of music, but in the past you had to load CDs into the player one by one to listen.
Even so, the joy of putting a newly bought CD into the player and pressing the play button might have been something unique to that time.
After all, it was like a magic button that would take you to “heaven.”
Fire CrackerELLEGARDEN

It’s the title track of their last album before going on hiatus.
The groove-rich riff and the way the vocals sound like he’s talking to himself make it incredibly convincing.
The interlude, where the two guitars intertwine in a complex way, is unusual for ELLEGARDEN and sounds really cool.
no.13ELLEGARDEN

It’s a song with a cool arpeggio intro.
Hosomi singing a groove like this while swaying his body is really cool.
It seems like the protagonist of the lyrics is waiting for someone important.
So “No.
13” is the address number of the place they’re waiting at.
