So this time, we’ve gathered recreational sports that everyone can enjoy equally and get excited about!

Jumbo Beach Ball Juggling Showdown

The Jumbo Beach Ball Lifting Showdown is a sport that people of all ages can enjoy! It’s popular at events like sports festivals, and the real appeal lies not in individual fun but in the excitement of team competition.
The rules are simple: toss the beach ball high into the air and see how many times you can keep it going, so anyone can enjoy it regardless of age.
Another key point is that cooperation and team bonds matter more than size or experience.
Plus, it can be played indoors, so you can enjoy it without being at the mercy of the weather.
kickbase

Kickbase is a wonderful sport that everyone can enjoy.
Since it’s based on baseball rules, it’s easy to pick up how to play right away.
You kick the ball with your foot instead of using a bat, so you don’t need any special equipment.
As long as you have a large space, you can start immediately, whether indoors or outdoors.
It’s great because people of all ages—from small children to older adults—can enjoy it together despite differences in size and strength.
Using a soft ball also makes it nice and safe.
If you’re playing with mixed teams, it’s a good idea to tweak the rules so everyone can have fun fairly.
Give it a try the next time you get together with family or friends!
Gateball

Gateball, often seen in parks, isn’t just for seniors—it’s actually popular with young people too! Played between two teams of five, the game begins by passing a ball through a gate.
But it’s not just about moving the ball; you also need smart strategies, like advancing your team’s balls advantageously and blocking the opponent’s.
It looks simple, but you only understand its appeal once you play.
As a recreational sport that anyone can join, gateball is one we’d love to see more people take up.
Bucket Catch!

This is a “bucket catch game” where one person throws a ball and another catches it with a bucket.
Start at a close distance; each time you make a catch, move farther apart and repeat, competing to see how far you can go while still making the catch.
Decide in advance how much to increase the distance—say, 50 centimeters each time you succeed.
It also sounds fun to make it a team competition, lining up side by side.
Adding a penalty for the losing team could make it even more exciting!
Caterpillar rugby

This is rugby played by wearing a full-body costume inspired by a caterpillar and crawling around on the ground face down.
Compared to regular rugby, there’s less colliding, so people of all ages can enjoy it safely.
The fact that you can’t quite control the ball or your own movements leads to unexpected mistakes and bursts of laughter—that’s part of what makes it so exciting.
The slight awkwardness of movement also intensifies the competition, so it might be fun to add obstacles to make movement even more challenging.
mini-golf

Experience golf indoors! Why not play some putter golf and have a fun time together? You can use a set sold at toy stores, or if you have time, you can DIY one with items like plastic bottles.
Add a cardboard ramp, set up multiple cups with a scoring system—there are lots of ways to enjoy it depending on your ideas! It’s perfect for events where you interact with small children, too.
If you play indoors, we recommend using balls made of soft materials.
A sport everyone can enjoy regardless of age. Including yuru-sports (21–30).
Sports Pillow Fight

When you hear “pillow fight,” you might think it sounds old-fashioned—something you’ve heard about but never actually done.
But did you know there’s a version with proper rules, played as a sport, called “sport pillow fighting”? The rules are: you throw pillows at players on the opposing team; anyone hit must “go to sleep” under a futon; the team that puts more opponents to sleep within the time limit, or hits the opposing captain with a pillow, wins.
There are roles like attackers and a libero who defends using a futon, and the uniform is a yukata.
It’s a very unique recreational sport.
