We’d like to introduce some recreational sports that are perfect for events and gatherings with a wide range of ages, from children to seniors!

When you think of sports, baseball or soccer might come to mind first, but if there are differences in age, physique, or experience, it can be hard for everyone to enjoy them together.

So this time, we’ve gathered recreational sports that everyone can enjoy equally and get excited about!

Some can be played indoors, like in a gym, so if you’re thinking, “I want to play with lots of people of different backgrounds,” be sure to use this as a reference!

Balloon Tennis

We played with Anpanman's “Big Balloon Tennis”! ★Anpanman Big Balloon Tennis★

Kids’ smiles bursting with joy! Here are some balloon tennis ideas.

Tennis is usually played with a racket and a tennis ball, right? In the video, they’re using rackets with Anpanman illustrations.

Using larger-than-normal balloons might make it easier to hit with the racket.

Since balloons can easily be carried away by the wind, if you play balloon tennis outdoors, it’s best to choose a spacious area and a day with little wind.

It’s also a fun idea for indoor play.

Hand-Holding Tag

Choose three to four players to be “it.” Just like in a regular game of tag, the taggers touch the other players.

Any player who is tagged joins hands with the taggers and helps chase the remaining players.

Repeat this until only one player is left; that player is the winner.

As the chain of taggers grows, both the chasers and those being chased will feel the excitement—making it a thrilling game for everyone.

Water Balloon Splash Ball Toss

A fresh new twist on a classic ball-toss game using water balloons—that’s Water Balloon Splash Toss! When a water balloon thrown toward the basket lands perfectly, cheers erupt; if it misses, a refreshing splash spreads and the excitement rises.

In hot weather, throw on a swimsuit and enjoy getting soaked to your heart’s content—that’s the best part.

Because it’s fun for everyone regardless of age or build, it’s perfect for family and community events.

Under the summer sun, why not refresh your body and mind with Water Balloon Splash Toss? It’s sure to create unforgettable memories!

Balloon Soccer

Balloon Soccer

Great for first-time soccer players! Here are some balloon soccer ideas.

Many parents may want to enjoy soccer together with their children.

This is a recommended idea when you’re unsure where to start playing soccer.

All you need is a balloon.

First, use the balloon as a stand-in for a ball and get used to the rules.

It’s good to help kids get a feel for body movement and eye coordination through activities like juggling with the thighs or toes and heading with the head.

Ball Rolling Relay

Ball-rolling relays are also ideal for exercising your legs and hips.

The rules are simple: weave around multiple cones set up on the course and head for the goal.

However, you must roll the ball—you can’t carry it or dribble it.

That means you’ll need to control the ball quickly while staying in a half-crouch.

It’s more demanding than it looks, so be sure to stretch well before you start.

The smaller the ball, the harder it is to roll.

Ball Catch Game

If you’re a man, chase the white ball! Make a miracle catch outdoors
Ball Catch Game

This game will, plainly put, likely be popular with boys.

You’ll need to purchase a gadget that lets you do toss-batting by yourself.

After that, just chase the white ball and catch it.

The key is to hit fly balls.

Grounders won’t do.

In conclusion

How did you find the recreational sports that everyone can enjoy together? Some of the activities were probably similar to well-known sports, but thanks to various adaptations, people of different ages were able to enjoy them together.

Take this opportunity to incorporate fun recreational sports and get everyone moving together!
