99LANA

Singer-songwriter LANA is drawing major attention in the hip-hop and R&B scenes.
Her husky voice and powerful, Black music–inspired vocals are striking, and she’s an artist at the forefront of today’s hip-hop and R&B.
She’s also well known for being the real-life younger sister of rapper LEX.
Her track “99” is a big tune that showcases her style.
From Beyoncé-like shouts to a rap section with modern, flow-driven delivery, the song packs in many elements aligned with global trends—and it’s unquestionably a demanding piece to perform.
Before putting on the dressJiLL-Decoy association

JiLL-Decoy association is one of Japan’s leading jazz bands, commonly known by their nickname, JilDeco.
They’re known for extensive crossover influences, featuring complex musicality rooted in jazz and neo-soul.
Among their tracks, the one I especially recommend is “Before Putting on the Dress.” It features an exceptionally intricate and advanced vocal line you wouldn’t typically hear in the mainstream.
It’s the kind of piece where just nailing the pitch is a real challenge.
a single flowertuki.

Released in November 2023, this is a work by tuki., a rising star who has been making waves as a 15-year-old, currently active junior high school singer-songwriter.
I must admit my ignorance—I learned about tuki.
for the first time while writing this piece—but I was truly surprised by her mature vocal tone and refined singing! She delivers melodies with a touch of melancholy with remarkable skill.
Though her songs are characterized by a relatively narrow vocal range and melodies that are easy to remember and hum along to, making them a good choice when you want to aim for a high score at karaoke, they demand expressive delivery more than vocal technique.
Be sure to listen closely to the original, study each phrase and the nuances of pronunciation in the lyrics, and then give it a try.
Your LoveFurui Riho

Furui Riho is a female singer-songwriter known for authentic tracks influenced by Western music.
She may not yet have the name recognition of top-tier singers, but her talent is first-rate, and the way she delivers songs that stand shoulder to shoulder with Western releases shows just how skilled she is.
Among her catalog, the one I particularly recommend is “Your Love.” It’s a downbeat track, but the vocal range required is quite wide, and it makes frequent use of ad-libs, making it very challenging to perform.
If you like m-flo, this will probably hit the spot.
dozing; catnap; light napLeina

Leina is a teenage rookie artist with a promising future.
She stands out for her challenging vocals that come from a catchy yet consistently strong singing ability.
Among her tracks, the one I especially recommend is “Utatane.” While it’s on the lower end of difficulty compared to the other songs introduced here, it still features many high notes and sharp pitch shifts, so matching the pitch can be tough.
If you want to start mastering more difficult songs, this might be a good one to begin with.
Tokyo LivingAlisa

Alisa is a female singer based in Australia.
With an Australian father and a Japanese mother, she made a sudden leap in recognition in 2019 when she jumped on stage with the world-renowned producer Steve Aoki.
The song she performs, “Tokyo Living,” is extremely challenging.
It blends English and Japanese, and because it’s rooted in R&B and soul in both languages, it demands a very high level of skill.
In conclusion
We introduced some cool tracks by distinctive artists that let female vocalists fully showcase their singing ability.
Did you find a favorite? While keeping the original style in mind, sing it out comfortably in your own way and stay true to yourself!
