We are the best! game

[A Game to Learn English] We Are the Best! Game
We are the best! game

The popular comedy duo “3ji no Heroine” introduced the “We are the best! Game” on YouTube.

It’s a game that uses English phrases and their Japanese translations: if someone speaks to you in English, you say the Japanese translation; if they speak to you in Japanese, you reply in English.

It’s a simple game, but it tests your memory and sense of rhythm, so it gets pretty hard as the number of words increases! If you’re fairly confident in your English, not deciding the exact English phrases or Japanese translations in advance will make the difficulty skyrocket.

It also seems great as a company icebreaker!

survival game

Feature: “Let’s play airsoft” — A presidential match by a women’s team

Modern electric airsoft guns are very safe, and more adults are taking part in “survival games.” The number of female participants has also increased significantly, which can be seen as proof that it’s safe to join.

Players seem to enjoy a variety of scenarios, such as heading for the opposing team’s flag in the forest or rescuing hostages.

Adult Bomb Game

When we went all-out with the adult bomb game, it turned into a messy brawl full of interference lol
Adult Bomb Game

When you were in elementary school, did you ever play the “bomb” game where you pass a ball around to music, and whoever’s holding it when the music stops is out? A lot of people probably played it with the school chime as the cue, too.

Well, let’s try it again as adults! What makes it “for adults”? First, the penalty is decided in advance.

Second, cheating is allowed.

And third, the person who stops the music is also one of the players.

In other words, everyone can blatantly act on motives like “I don’t want to do the penalty” or “It’d be hilarious if that person had to do it,” passing the ball faster or slower—and even choosing exactly when to stop the music (lol)! Basically, anything goes in this bomb game.

It’s sure to be a thrilling twist on the childhood version!

A water rocket you can make for 200 yen

A plastic bottle rocket that flies through the air powered by bursts of air and water.

Many of us probably built one for a summer vacation science project when we were kids.

If you make one seriously, it can travel quite a distance, but even with just a few hundred yen of investment it will soar high into the sky.

It’s fun not only as a child’s science project, but also for adults to build in earnest.

Telephone game in English

[Test Your English Skills] Telephone Game Showdown in English with a Big Group! [Part 1]
Telephone game in English

The classic party game, “telephone.” It’s a game where you see if you can pass a word or sentence correctly to the person behind you—but let’s try it in English! Instead of single words, can you relay full English sentences accurately? Longer sentences raise the difficulty, and it may also vary depending on how good you are at English.

Dance Gesture Game

SixTONES – We tried the Dance Game 'Dance Gesture Game'!
Dance Gesture Game

This is a more stylish take on a gesture game where you communicate using only body movements.

As the prompt is announced, music starts playing; you perform an improvised dance to the music, consciously making sure it works as a dance while also incorporating movements that express the prompt in your own way.

Others should not only guess the prompt but also judge whether the dance stands on its own.

If you’re good at dancing, leverage your creativity to aim for more stylish gestures; if you’re not, the fun comes from everyone enjoying your earnest effort.

Choose tracks to match each person’s dance ability; for those who are confident, it’s also recommended to play songs with more challenging choreography.

Who did what, when, and where game

I’ve accidentally invented a hellish game that anyone can play…
Who did what, when, and where game

Thrilling penalty-game-style recreations are also popular.

One recommendation is the “When, Where, Who, What Did They Do? Game.” In this game, you draw lots for each of the 5W1H elements and then carry out what you draw—that’s the rule.

It’s a game you can use at mixers and similar gatherings, so definitely give it a try.
