Poker Face Game

As the name suggests, the “Poker Face Game” is a game where you keep a completely straight face no matter what happens.
It follows the same rules as the Amazon Prime Video show “Freeze.” Since the only rule is to maintain a poker face, it might seem unenjoyable at first glance, but with the right setups it becomes incredibly fun.
For example, balloon pops, reflexology pain points, or rocket fireworks on your backside—the more extreme the gags, the funnier it gets.
That’s why it really heats up when played with a large group!
Hand-push sumo

Many of you might have played “te-oshi sumo” (hand-pushing sumo) when you were kids.
Two people face each other, extend both hands in front of their chests, place their hands together, and push against each other like in sumo.
The loser is the one who loses balance and falls, or whose feet move.
It could be exciting to make it a tournament, too!

Word Wolf

The popular game known as Word Wolf, also called Word Werewolf, is a deep and engaging game for adults, yet relatively easy to play.
The rules are very similar to Werewolf: a topic word is given, but one person receives a different topic and talks with everyone else.
Players try to find the person with the different topic by spotting contradictions in the discussion, and, just like in Werewolf, eliminate a player each round.
If you increase the number of wolf players, the difficulty rises sharply—so once you get used to the game, give it a try!
Nanjamonja Game

Nanjamonja Game is a game where you give names to monsters called Nanjamonja that don’t have names.
Draw a card, and if it’s a Nanjamonja you haven’t seen before, give it a name.
Place the drawn cards in a single pile.
When a Nanjamonja that already has a name appears, call out its name.
The person who says it first gets to take the accumulated pile of cards.
The player with the most cards wins.
Musical chairs

As adults, we hardly ever get the chance to play musical chairs, right? But for grown-ups, it’s actually a great form of light exercise—perfect for anyone who’s not very active.
You naturally get some moderate movement by walking around the chairs and reacting quickly when the music stops, without it being too intense.
So gather your friends who are feeling out of shape and give it a try.
Cash-Grab Rock-Paper-Scissors

Many people might play rock-paper-scissors to kill time, but just playing it as-is can be a bit dull.
So, how about making it more exciting by putting some cash on the line? For example, if there are 10 participants and each puts in 1,000 yen, you can turn it into a game competing for 10,000 yen.
Balloon time bomb

There are probably many people looking for a heart-pounding, thrilling recreation game.
As a recommended option, check out this “Balloon Time Bomb.” In this game, you use a toy that makes a balloon explode after a set time once it’s attached.
With a balloon fitted onto the toy, play something like shiritori and enjoy the thrill.
