Giant Jenga

[Showdown] If you lose, you have to do a Buruzon Chieme impersonation! We tried a giant punishment-game Jenga!
Giant Jenga

Jenga is a classic game that everyone from children to adults can enjoy.

How about trying a giant version of Jenga that’s been scaled up to an enormous size? Or better yet, how about making a giant Jenga set out of cardboard? It may take some time, but it sounds fun.

You can also spice things up by sticking pieces of paper with dares on the underside of the blocks where they can’t be seen.

Ride a balance ball while blindfolded

[Game] If you fall off the balance ball, it's hell...
Ride a balance ball while blindfolded

Sitting on a balance ball feels comfortable, but as soon as you lift your feet, you lose balance and topple over, right? This game is about getting on a balance ball while blindfolded.

But that alone isn’t very fun.

Since you’re bound to fall, prepare pieces of paper with penalties written on them where you might land.

When you fall, you carry out the penalty.

It’s a game built around punishments from the very start.

Water balloon catch

We launch a water balloon high into the sky with a rocket launcher and catch it.
Water balloon catch

This is a game called “Water Balloon Catch,” where you throw a water balloon and try to catch it without dropping or popping it.

Water balloons are actually pretty tough, but their wobbliness keeps you on edge.

If tossing by hand at close range sounds boring, try launching the water balloon high and far with a toy rocket launcher and then catching it.

It’s a real thrill!

UNO Flip showdown with English banned

[Showdown] Open-hand UNO!? Tried an UNO Flip battle with English banned!
UNO Flip showdown with English banned

I’m sure you all know the classic card game UNO, but have you heard of UNO Flip? It’s an updated version of UNO with new rules: when a Flip card is played, everyone turns their cards over and continues the game on the Dark Side, which is said to be harsher than the normal mode.

Anyway, how about trying that classic UNO with a twist—no English allowed! Since it’s a game from overseas, lots of English terms pop up during play.

Let’s keep going by cleverly rephrasing them in Japanese as we go! And don’t forget the penalty rule: if you say something in English, you have to draw a card! Even if you’re careful, you’ll slip up and say English now and then, which makes it really exciting!

Straw Tower

[Team Building] How can we make the straws taller? Introduction to a communication game
Straw Tower

The straw tower is a game where you compete to see how tall a tower you can build using straws, and its high degree of freedom really puts your strategy to the test.

It’s typically played by collaborating over a long time limit, where sharing ideas and dividing roles are key points.

If the tower isn’t freestanding when time is up, it’s a failure, so work together while managing your time wisely.

Balancing opinions can be tricky too—progress stalls when views clash, but leaving everything to others isn’t good either.

Let’s use the hints to figure out the answer! Here’s an idea for a rearrangement game.

It’s a great recreation activity for breaks or free time! Once you’ve prepared five types of drinks with two bottles each (like plastic bottled drinks), you’re ready to go! It’s a simple game where you rearrange the drinks and guess the correct order.

The key is for each person to move one item per turn to work toward the correct arrangement.

It’s helpful if the caller can tell the players how many drinks are currently in the correct position.

It looks easy, but it really makes you think! You can also adapt it using stationery or other items instead of drinks.

Teleportation Game

[DAY 3] Exciting! Instant Teleportation Game — “YouTube Kahokku LiNK in Summer Vacation”
Teleportation Game

Everyone stands in a circle, places a rolled-up newspaper stick upright at their own spot, steps away, and before it falls, moves to the next person’s spot to quickly support their stick.

Since you can’t move into that spot until your neighbor moves, it may look like an individual challenge, but teamwork is probably important too.

Paying attention to details—like at what angle to set the stick so it stays upright and how to grip and support it—is crucial.

As the distance to your neighbor increases, quicker movement is required, so once you get used to it, we recommend gradually increasing the spacing.
