This is a wall decoration made simply by stapling long, narrow strips of colored construction paper.
The simple shape is beautiful in its own way.
First, prepare longer and shorter strips of colored paper.
Stack a long strip and a short strip together and staple them.
Make eight of these, then staple the neighboring petals to each other.
Finally, glue a circle of colored paper in the center to finish.
Using different colors for the long and short strips looks very pretty, and using light and dark shades also looks great.
Give it a try!
Cherry blossom wreath

Let’s create a spring-like atmosphere by decorating the classroom where the graduates spent their time and the doors of the graduation ceremony venue with cherry blossom wreaths! You can easily make them by crafting cherry blossoms out of origami, then attaching them to twisted paper cords or to wreath bases sold at 100-yen shops.
Use ribbons and beads for decoration to make a gorgeous yet gentle-looking wreath.
It’s also recommended to have each flower contributed by a parent, one blossom per person! Teachers, parents, and everyone—please work together to create heartfelt pieces.
Hanamichi arch

How about creating a flower-arch pathway to warmly welcome and send off the graduating children during their entrance and exit? You can decorate around a base made from cardboard, garden arch supports, or even unused hula hoops.
One easy way to make the arch is to cover it densely with flowers made from tissue paper.
Depending on the size of the base material, you can make it a fixed arch; however, if you want to send the graduates off up close, we recommend a handheld style.
Teachers and parents can lift and hold the arches to form a floral pathway together during the procession.
With a heartfelt flower-arch pathway, gently send the graduates on their way.

weeping cherry (tree)

Graduation ceremonies for kindergartens are often held at a time when, depending on the location, the cherry blossoms may or may not be in full bloom.
To ensure that every school can celebrate equally beneath beautiful blossoms, how about bringing in a weeping cherry tree as part of the decor? You can make cherry blossoms out of tissue paper and string them together—simple as that! Try installing them like a curtain at the entrance of the venue, or attach several to clear umbrellas to use as decorations around the hall.
There are many ways to incorporate them.
When the graduating children see the beautiful cherry blossom scene, it will surely help them feel poised and ready for the moment.
balloon flower

A balloon flower with blossoms inside the balloon.
You’ll need artificial flowers and a clear balloon.
First, place the flower part inside the balloon and inflate it slightly.
Then, pull the flower in from the balloon’s opening so the bloom goes fully inside, and tuck in any stems or leaves that are still outside.
Inflate the balloon to the size you like, and you’re done! To keep the flower from shifting around inside, tie the flower’s stem together with the balloon’s neck when you close it.
Add a ribbon to the tied part for an extra-cute touch! Balloon flowers create a gently sophisticated mood—give it a try!
Cherry blossom garland

How about decorating the walls of the room where the graduating children spent so much time with a cherry blossom garland for the graduation ceremony? It’s easy to make by connecting cherry blossoms folded from origami or cut from construction paper with string.
If you combine it with ribbons and various other decorations, you can create a festive garland.
We also recommend not only using pink paper but also papers with different patterns, such as cherry blossom prints, to enjoy a different cherry blossom vibe.
Let’s send off the graduates in style with cherry blossoms!
cherry blossom curtain

How about setting up a cherry blossom curtain at the entrance where the graduating children enter and exit? Use tissue paper or origami to make lots of cherry blossom petals.
Prepare several strings of petals by threading them onto cords, then pass them through a tension rod—and you’re done! You can use petals in various colors for a lively look, or arrange them in a gradient for a stylish effect.
Not only at the entrance—lining them up across a wall makes a dynamic, beautiful display too.
Decorate in whatever style you like!
