Cherry blossom mobile

Cherry blossoms symbolize spring in Japan, and because of when they bloom, they are strongly associated with meetings and farewells.
This is a garland made of paper with a cherry blossom motif that conveys a sense of dimension and cuteness.
You create various types of blossoms—some cut into petal shapes and others leaving only the outline—and connect them with thread.
How you arrange blossoms of different sizes is also key; that arrangement helps create a solid sense of depth.
cherry blossom petals

Origami cherry blossom petals are a beautiful craft that evokes the arrival of spring.
Fold the paper toward the center.
As you imagine the shape of cherry blossom petals, round off the corners with gentle folds to create a soft look.
At this point, pay attention to the steps where you fold the paper diagonally—that’s the key.
Finally, make small cuts along the outer edge and open it up; you’ll have airy, fluffy cherry blossom petals.
Adding these small cuts is important for a more realistic finish.
If you line up and paste several blossoms you’ve made, it will look like a tree in full bloom and bring a spring-like atmosphere.
It’s a perfect craft for commemorating school entrance or graduation, so enjoy making it!
confetti balloon

In addition to being fun as toys, balloons also make excellent decorative items.
If you have children, you’ve probably used them at least once as decorations for birthdays or special occasions.
This time, we’re introducing confetti balloons as a decoration for graduation ceremonies! They’re stylish, with confetti inside the balloons and tassels attached.
They’re also popular as photo props, so be sure to incorporate them into your decorations.
They’re especially recommended for both sides of the entrance/exit doors and for photo booths!
party flag

How about party flags that can fully express the celebratory mood of a preschool graduation? You can easily create decorations by stringing together origami folded into triangle flag shapes (or triangles cut with scissors) and attaching them to the wall.
You can fold the origami to make triangles, or simply cut out triangle shapes—either works.
Try combining papers in various colors and lively patterned papers to create a festive atmosphere at the venue.
It’s also a great idea to have the current students draw pictures on the flags to convey their congratulations.
tassel garland

Tassel garlands are one of those decorative items that suit any scene.
They’re also appealing because you can make them from a variety of materials like tissue paper, yarn, or embroidery thread.
Tassel garlands are perfect for kindergarten graduation decorations, too! How about hanging them along the flower path the children walk through or on the hallway walls? The impression changes depending on the materials and colors you use, so create them in a way that’s fitting for the ceremony and will delight the children.
They’re easy to make, so it might be nice to create them together with the current students!

paper pom-poms

Paper pom-poms can be displayed in various places, such as on the walls and at the entrance of the graduation ceremony venue.
They’re easy to make using tissue paper, so why not create them as one of your decorations? Stack about 7–8 sheets of tissue paper and fold them in an accordion.
Tie the center with fishing line or similar thread.
Then gently pull apart the sheets one by one, shaping them as you go until they form a flower—done! If you cut both ends into triangles or rounded shapes before spreading them, you’ll get different flower styles, so it could be fun to mix and match them for decoration.
Envelope paper fan
@miro_ouchiphoto.diy You can make such fancy decorations this easily with just envelopes!! I’m using No. 4 envelopes from Seria. You need 15 envelopes to make one, so you can make two for 100 yen—great value!HinamatsuriThe Doll Festival#PaperFan#100-yen shop DIYEntrance Ceremony

Here’s a stunning paper fan you can make using materials from a 100-yen shop.
All you need are envelopes, scissors, and glue.
Trim off the excess parts of the envelopes, then make three sets by gluing five envelopes together for each set.
Cut out decorative shapes, stack the sets, and glue them together to finish.
When you open it, you’ll have a large, beautiful floral decoration.
Add a ribbon or combine it with a tapestry, and it will look so elegant you’d never guess it’s handmade.
It folds flat for easy storage, so you can use it year after year.
Give it a try for decorating around the school!
