congratulatory flower wreath

Let's make a mini wreath! Perfect for celebrations! Using materials from Daiso (the 100-yen shop), it's easy to decorate and highly recommended.

Wreaths adorned with congratulatory messages are a glamorous decoration that also evokes the image of a grand opening celebration.

How about recreating such a wreath in a smaller size to add festivity to your celebration? For the floral base, attach a piece of foam to a round-cut cardboard disc, thread wire through it so it can be assembled later, and then cover it with flowers.

Create the message by using cardboard as a base and decorating it with ribbon, then attach this and the flower piece to a stand to complete it.

Choose the colors of the stand and the message to match the flowers, and experiment with combinations that look the most vibrant.

photo garland

This is a decoration idea where you attach clips to a wire and tuck in your favorite photos to create a garland-like display.

The key point is which photos you choose—pay attention to the overall color balance when arranged, and display memorable photos that suit the situation.

Since the wire and clips are made of sturdy materials, it’s recommended to print the photos on thicker stock as well to create a cohesive look.

Alternatively, using a variety of clip types on purpose can add a colorful, lively feel.

Paper circle garland

Paper circle garland

This garland uses softly textured paper cut into circles, creating the look of a wall covered in blooming flowers.

Fold the paper and cut it into circular shapes, then make circles of the same size in different colors.

Once you’ve made the circles, arrange them while adjusting the quantity to create a gradient effect when hung on the wall, and thread a string through the center using a needle.

After threading, fan the paper out to a consistent width, then secure the center with glue so the shape holds—done! For extra dimension, you can also gently curve each circle bit by bit.

Ribbon decorations that can also serve as a charming accent for the venue.

Make ribbons in various colors to brighten up the entire kindergarten, including the graduation ceremony hall! You can choose your preferred method, such as folding them from origami or cutting construction paper into ribbon shapes.

Using patterned paper or decorating with stickers and drawings is also recommended.

Depending on the origami folds, it might be great to have current students help out.

Try combining the ribbons with portraits, attaching them to other crafts, and using them in a variety of ways.

Here’s how to make a recommended weeping cherry blossom arch for the sakura season.

First, overlap four sheets of origami paper by 1 centimeter and glue them together to form a long horizontal strip.

Fold it so the right end is on top, overlapping left and right.

Next, fold it in half so the left end is on top.

Then fold it into thirds.

Make sure the edge of the origami is on the right.

Draw half of a cherry blossom, punch some holes with a hole punch, and cut so the shapes connect.

When you open it up, your weeping cherry blossoms are complete! Make as many strands as you like, line them up on a base, and glue them down to create a weeping cherry blossom arch.

It’s perfect for graduation and entrance ceremonies, so be sure to give it a try.

Here’s an idea for making beautiful cherry blossoms with branches.

You’ll need two sheets of pink origami paper, two sheets for the branches, scissors, and glue or double-sided tape.

Fold the pink origami paper and then cut it with scissors to create the cherry blossoms.

To add depth, the key is to refold the cut cherry blossoms to create creases! For the branches, you can combine two sheets of origami paper and adjust the shape, which is a great way to express individual creativity.

Give it a try and make your own beautiful cherry blossoms with branches!

Umbrella Sky

Here’s an idea I highly recommend for decorating a preschool graduation ceremony: an umbrella sky.

An umbrella sky is a display where colorful umbrellas are hung overhead like a ceiling.

When sunlight hits the umbrellas, colors and patterns are cast onto the ground, creating a wonderfully magical atmosphere.

It would also be lovely to hang clear vinyl umbrellas painted freely by the children.

How about using this umbrella sky to create a celebratory pathway for the graduates? Since all you need are umbrellas, it should be easy to put together!
