Guaranteed to delight kids! How about making a shiny, glowing candy light? Believe it or not, you can easily make it using Oyumaru and a mini LED light from a 100-yen shop.

Oyumaru is a plastic clay that softens in hot water at about 80°C, allowing you to shape it however you like.

It hardens when it cools, which makes it easy to handle—another great point! To make it, soak two colors of Oyumaru in about 80°C hot water for 2–3 minutes.

Take them out, twist them together, roll into a ball, and shape it like a candy.

Chill it in ice water, and once the Oyumaru has hardened, use a glue gun to attach the candy to the glowing side of the mini light—done! Imagine how your child’s friends will react when they receive one, and be sure to try making it together with your child.
