Kids Will Love It! Simple Handmade Gift Ideas (101–110)
finger puppet

Let’s make it with felt! Here are some ideas for Anpanman finger puppets.
You’ll need felt, craft glue, stuffing, thread, paper, a hole punch, a pencil, scissors, and a needle.
First, trace your finger and Anpanman’s face onto a template and cut them out.
Cut the felt along the template to create each part.
Sew the pieces together or use craft glue to assemble them, and you’re done! Since finger puppets are small, you can keep one in your pocket and bring Anpanman out anytime.
Amulet-style! Shaker keychain

Why not try giving children stylish, translucent amulet-style keychains? You can easily make them with items from the 100-yen shop, so they’re perfect when you need to create many at once.
First, have the kids draw their favorite characters, foods, and more on shrink plastic.
After cutting out the designs, warm the pieces in the oven, then press them between magazines while still warm to flatten out any warping.
Next, cut a soft plastic sleeve into an amulet shape and seal the edges with a hot tool.
Place beads and the pieces you made inside the sleeve, then seal the top with the hot tool.
Finally, punch a hole at the top, tie on a ribbon, thread a chain through, and you’re done! It’s a keychain where you can enjoy the satisfying shake and rattle of the items inside the pouch.
Memo stand
@n.annlee321 I often get requests asking, “Do you have anything I could give as a present?” How about this one? ☺️#HandmadeToysHandmadeParentingChildcare#ElementarySchoolMom

How about a memo stand that makes use of plastic bottle caps? Take two caps, fix them together like matching seashells, and wrap double-sided tape all around the outside.
Wind paper cord or similar over the tape to create a flowerpot look.
Poke a hole in the top, then attach a pipe-cleaner flower and a memo-stand clip you can buy at a 100-yen shop, and you’re done! The size is small, so it shouldn’t be hard to find a place for it.
If you prepare a few variations—like different flower color schemes—it might look even cuter.
In conclusion
I introduced some handmade ideas for small gifts.
Most of them were pretty easy to make—did you find any you liked? Some of them don’t even look handmade! Give them a try and recreate them yourself.
