crimsonX JAPAN

X JAPAN’s famous and high-pitched song “Kurenai” starts off so relaxed that you might find yourself thinking, “Is this really that song?” For the record, that’s exactly what I thought the first time I heard it (lol).
It might be easier for women to sing in the original key, but it’s quite high for men! Toshl’s vocals are truly incredible—he not only growls but also maintains solid high tones throughout.
The key to hitting high notes is your core.
If your body wobbles, your voice won’t project forward, so make sure to support from your lower abdomen (tanden).
There are parts that feel like shouting, but if you actually just shout, you’ll wreck your throat.
Try to resonate in your head with a “Kyaa!” kind of image instead.
This is definitely a song you’ll want to add to your karaoke repertoire!
THE DAYPorunogurafiti

PornoGraffitti is famous for their high vocal range, and I think “THE DAY” is one of their highest songs, especially at the top end.
The tempo is quite fast too, so if you’re going to sing it, it’ll be tough to keep up unless you really memorize the song first.
Also, vocalist Okano mostly uses chest voice and belts the high notes in his natural voice, but the highest note at the end of the chorus, C#5, is in falsetto.
That switch is so cool, isn’t it? Since the song is up-tempo, if you’re not comfortable with high notes, I recommend lowering the key by one or two steps instead of starting in the original key.
Rather than focusing on pitch at first, start by getting used to the speed! You might get caught up in just getting the notes out, but don’t forget to breathe!

I LOVEOfisharu Higedan Dism

This is Official HIGE DANDism’s fourth single, scheduled for release in February 2020 (unreleased at the time of writing).
The vocalist, Fujihara, has a wonderfully beautiful high tone voice!! The contrast with the band’s name is delightfully amusing.
This would make an excellent karaoke pick for men with naturally high speaking voices.
However, the melody that unfolds around the highest notes in the chorus might be difficult to sing if you’re relying solely on having a “naturally high” chest voice.
It’s like a showcase—or textbook—of high-tone vocals: chest-to-head voice high notes that still sound chesty, falsetto, and mixed voice that blends them all.
I think it’s also an excellent study material for male singers who want to master high notes.
LA LA LA Love SongKubota Toshinobu

This is the 16th single by Japanese R&B singer Toshinobu Kubota, released in May 1996.
It became a hit as the theme song for the Fuji TV drama “Long Vacation,” so many of you have probably heard it.
Kubota himself is a singer with an appealing slightly higher vocal timbre, which already makes this one of the best choices for male singers with higher voices.
However, the vocal and singing techniques required to perform this song may be a bit demanding.
A key to making it sound good is switching effectively between mixed voice—commonly used in R&B—and powerful, chest-voice high notes.
Aside from the parts where you need to project, try to sing as gently as possible even in the high sections.
Dear daysHirai Ken

This is Ken Hirai’s 34th single, released in May 2011.
It was also used as the theme song for the drama “JIN.” It’s a beautiful ballad in which Ken Hirai’s gentle high-tone voice resonates very appealingly.
If you have a high vocal range, you’ll probably be able to sing the chorus quite well, but I feel the key to delivering a compelling performance actually lies in how you handle the relatively lower-range A-melody sections.
When singing these parts, try placing the voice toward the lower jaw, resonate firmly in the chest cavity, and practice producing a solid chest voice.
accent colorBialystocks

The song “Sashi-Iro,” featured in the Namacha commercial, is a classic by the band Bialystocks, who had been drawing attention since their indie days, and it saw a revival hit thanks to the ad.
The real charm of the track lies in the chorus.
The falsetto that unfolds from the gentle vocals is incredibly soothing and brings an indescribable sense of bliss.
Beyond the pleasing high notes, the subtle touches of Black music influence are another key appeal of this song.
Be sure to check it out.
Black and WhiteDa-iCE

When people hear about a high-register dance vocal group, many likely think of Da-iCE first.
They’re well known for their mixed voice and falsetto, and “Black and White” is a piece where you can especially savor their smooth high notes.
The track as a whole is a dance-leaning R&B number, featuring a wide array of high-register techniques, from standard falsetto to shout-tinged falsetto and powerful mixed voice.
