Cut the wrapping sheet, accordion-fold it, then thread a needle and thread through it.

First, cut a sheet of colored construction paper into a square.

Fold the opposite edge up to the center.

Next, fold the left and right corners of the edge you just folded up toward the center.

Align the folded corners together and secure them with glue or clear tape.

Make six identical pieces and glue them together.

Let’s try making handmade keychains that can be attached to bags! You can choose parts that will pique children’s interest, such as origami pieces with push-up bumps you can press and pop for fun, or stylish designs made by threading a few sparkling beads onto a string.

You can make the keychain components with thread, or if you want a sturdier build, we also recommend using parts from a 100-yen shop.
