Bouquet made with construction paper

A real bouquet gift from current kindergarteners to graduates! Here’s how to make a cute bouquet out of construction paper.
Materials: colored construction paper, wood glue, double-sided tape, and colored pens.
First, draw a spiral on the colored paper.
After cutting it out, roll it up like a flower and secure it with wood glue.
Do the same with another sheet of colored paper by drawing a square-shaped spiral, cutting it out, and rolling it up.
Finally, attach the flowers to a backing sheet of colored paper with double-sided tape, draw the stems with colored pens, add a ribbon, and you’re done!
Bookmarks made with self-lamination

A gift from current students to graduates! Here’s how to make a cute bookmark.
Materials: self-laminating film, tissue paper, decorations like sequins, string, and twist ties.
First, tear the tissue paper into small pieces, stick the decorations onto the adhesive side of the laminating film, and cut it into a bookmark shape.
Punch a hole with a hole punch, thread a twist tie through, and you’re done! Adjust the steps—like tearing the tissue paper or placing the decorations—according to the children’s ages, and have fun making them together.
Magnet cake

Perfect as a gift for kindergarten graduates! Here’s how to make a cake magnet.
First, attach a magnet inside a plastic bottle cap using cellophane tape or wood glue.
Hold the magnet so it stays parallel to the ground, then pull the tape tight to secure it.
Flip the cap over, stick double-sided tape around the side of the cap, peel off the film, and wrap on pre-cut felt.
Adding a ribbon around the side makes it extra cute.
Next, mix shaving foam and wood glue in a 1:1 ratio, then add paint to make “cream.” Place the cream on top of the cap, decorate as you like, and you’re done!
Accessory holder made from a paper carton

First, open the milk carton and cut it into the shape of a small container.
Put your favorite colors of paint onto drawing paper, then slide the milk carton over it.
Once the paint dries, attach the paper to the inside surface, paste colored construction paper you like on the back, and fold it so it forms the shape of a small container.
Make sure to crease the corners well.
Punch holes in the corners, thread a ribbon through, and tie it to finish! If you use recycled materials that may contain allergens, be sure to make it with safety in mind.
Sitting Accessory Case

How about making a gift for the graduating children together with the current students? You’ll need: a paper carton, construction paper, a face photo, string, pom-poms, round stickers, ribbon, wood glue, and double-sided tape.
First, cut the carton to about half its height, leaving the back panel a bit longer.
Cut the construction paper to a size that can cover the carton and attach it with double-sided tape.
Put double-sided tape on the back of the construction paper as well, stick it onto the carton, and trim any excess.
Punch holes in the sides and front of the carton, and make four pom-poms with strings attached.
Trim the photo to fit the back panel of the carton and stick it on with double-sided tape.
Thread the pom-pom strings through the holes, add stickers and ribbon, and you’re done!
A card with potted flowers that pop out

Deliver your feelings in words! Let’s handmake a message card.
This idea uses only construction paper and features a pop-up potted flower.
The flowerpot is given a three-dimensional effect by adding straight and curved cuts along the fold of a sheet of construction paper folded in half.
For the flower, cut a circle from construction paper, fold it in half twice, then make mountain folds outward on the side opposite the creases.
Next, round off the corners to form the flower shape.
Attach the flower above the pot, and it’s complete.

Sakura pen holder
Perfect as a gift for kindergarten graduates moving up a grade or starting a new school! Here’s how to make a cherry blossom pen holder.
First, cut a plastic bottle slightly shorter than the wooden sticks.
You can find wooden sticks at 100-yen shops.
Wrap vinyl tape or masking tape around the cut edge.
Attach double-sided tape to the plastic bottle and cover the entire surface with the wooden sticks.
Using tissue paper cut into petal shapes, glue on cherry blossom petals, then add a lace sticker around the top of the pen holder.
Write a message or name on a name tag made from colored construction paper and stick it onto the pen holder to finish!
