Complete it with items from your classroom or home! Here are some bag ideas made from an empty tissue box.

You’ll need half of an empty tissue box, construction paper, double-sided tape, and scissors.

To make it, cover the tissue box half with construction paper.

Attach a ghost made from construction paper on the front, and a pumpkin made from construction paper on the back.

For the handles, stick on long, thin strips of construction paper to the sides—and you’re done! If the children glue on the facial features for the pumpkin and ghost themselves, it will feel extra special and unique to them!

Even small scraps of paper—like bits of construction paper or origami paper—that don’t seem like much on their own can really add up if you save them after each craft session.

Let’s use those scraps to make this Halloween bag where they truly shine! First, crumple the scraps to create wrinkles, then tear them into reasonably small pieces.

Kids will enjoy this step, too! Next, paste the torn pieces onto an inflated balloon.

Once it’s dry, pop the balloon and remove it from the inside.

Reinforce the shape, add a handle, and finally attach a face—like a jack-o’-lantern or any monster you like—and you’re done! It’s a simple, fun-to-make Halloween bag, so give it a try!
