Here are some ideas for making treat bags that will liven up your Halloween party! Creating a one-of-a-kind original bag will make Halloween even more fun.
This time, we’ve gathered ideas you can make with materials you have on hand.
Try using items around the house—like plastic bottles, tissue boxes, and milk cartons—to create cute pumpkin- and ghost-shaped bags.
If you make them together with children, the process will spark their imagination and become a fun memory! Please use these ideas as a reference and enjoy crafting with your kids.
Note: Because the children’s creations are treated as works of art, we use the term “seisaku” (制作, production/creation) in the text.

bat bag
https://www.tiktok.com/@hoiku.labo/video/7288957603814624514Here’s an idea for a bat bag that makes the tearing action fun.
First, prepare several sheets of purple origami paper and tear them however you like.
Next, glue the torn pieces all over a paper cup and attach wings.
It starts to look like a bat, doesn’t it? Finally, thread a string through it to make it like a bucket, and you’re done.
You can fill it with candy to hand out or store, and it also sounds fun to carry the bat bag around and have people put treats in it.
Use stickers to give clear bags a Halloween theme!

A Halloween bag decorated with stickers and sequins on a clear bag is a craft that will stay useful even after Halloween thanks to its festive look.
First, stick Halloween-themed stickers on the inside of a transparent zip storage bag, then add glitter and sequins inside.
Use a glue gun to attach the storage bag to the inside of the clear bag, and finish by edging it with masking tape.
However, since glue guns get hot, make sure an adult does the work in a place away from children.
Stencil treat bag

Let me show you a bag made from a paper shopping bag! Prepare a plain paper bag sized to fit the children’s bodies, and cut off the top section with the handles.
Then, let’s paint a design on it using stencils.
To make a stencil, cut your preferred shapes out of paper, place the stencil over the area you want to decorate, and dab on color with a sponge.
You can use paint or an ink pad for the colors.
If you want to add another color on top of your design, you can make another stencil in the same way, or if it’s a small part, you can paint it directly with a brush.
By creating and combining various stencil shapes, you’ll get a cute, original bag full of personality! Attach a cord so it can be carried by hand or worn over the shoulder.
Candy basket made from cardboard

Even though it’s made of paper, this candy bag looks adorably stitched like fabric—want to try making a cute pumpkin version? First, draw a pumpkin on construction paper to create a template.
Next, use the template on cardboard and cut out two identical pieces.
For the bottom, use a long, narrow strip of cardboard: wrap it along the pumpkin’s side to measure the length, then cut it.
Once that’s done, feel free to draw decorations on the pumpkins and the bottom piece! When you’re finished, use an awl to punch holes at 1 cm intervals along the outer edge of the pumpkins and at both long edges of the bottom strip.
Attach paper string or yarn to the tip of a toothpick and stitch the pumpkins and the bottom together.
Add a ribbon for the handle, and you’re done! It looks just like it’s made from fabric—super cute!
Halloween candy bucket

Want to try making a Halloween candy bucket using just construction paper? Simply cut the paper into long, thin strips and glue them together—it’s a super simple method, so even little kids will enjoy making it! It’s also perfect for anyone who wants to handcraft candy containers for a Halloween party.
Not just pumpkins—ghosts, witches, and other motifs are adorable too, and you can customize them however you like.
Gather with family and friends, have fun crafting together, and make your Halloween party even more exciting!
Halloween candy holder

One of the fun parts of Halloween events is getting treats when you say “Trick or treat!” This time, let’s make a Halloween candy holder out of origami that’ll come in handy when you go out to collect sweets.
It’s a cute mini-mini bag that fits about one piece of candy or chocolate, so it seems perfect as a party favor or prize holder for Halloween parties and events! We’ve also included a video showing how to fold a ghost and a pumpkin as decorations to add a nice touch to the bag, so be sure to check it out.
Halloween lantern

Here’s an introduction to making Halloween lanterns from plastic bottles.
When cutting the bottle, lightly warm the utility knife to get a clean edge.
At that time, be sure to wipe off any soot thoroughly with a cloth dampened with water.
If you draw your own original design, you’ll end up with a one-of-a-kind lantern that’s really fun.
When you put in a tea light, the cute design will glow.
It should look beautiful if you turn on the light in a darkened room.
They’re also great as decorations to set out on Halloween.
Try making various lanterns by changing the size of the plastic bottles!
